A small update on my social life.
Before I knew anything about AS I was blind to most of the things
that kept me from getting into relationships or making one work or last,
and quite frankly people (normals for the most part) just rubbed me wrong,
I have been IN an aspie/aspie relationship now for nearly 3 years,
it has not been easy, I meet her here on this forum,
one of our biggest problems to over come was that of
us both having empathy problems, sometimes its not
easy to see the others points of view by standing back
and looking at ones own self, then there was other issues,
like imagine if someone came into your home and cleaned
and organized things for you, at first you may feel you done a good thing,
well he he, we do that to each other often, then there was the getting
used to each other stemming in our own little ways and the sounds we make and stuff,
she makes many sounds depicting her moods and how she feels and thinks,
it helps me tons with communications where I get lost when it comes to
the body languages and stuff, there are times though when she goes quiet,
during those times I almost panic because I have the greatest difficulty reading
in between her lines.
in many ways we can and do feel we can be our selves around each other
compared to when we are around other peoples, in many ways its a relief,
one of our issues are the touch aversions, it can sometimes
play hell on a love life, we are vary picky about our cloths and bed sheets
as well as the way we touch each other, but in the same token how tender
and gentle with each other is vary nice to share and experience,
and we actually agree on most issues where with normals and the like
their trains of thought are just sometimes confusing and overwhelming.
more later if any are interested.

And if you have little aspie kids, you can raise them with your collective aspie wisdom. They can get a good start on life. I really (as in really) am touched by your tale. All the best of not too empathetic, emotionally disconnected aspie vibes to the both of you.
Your story is wonderful!

err, she already had 5 kids when I meet her,
and then we had one of our own,
most of the kids are aspie though.
and believe me when I say its no bowl of cherries at times.
an aspie/aspie relationship takes a hell of a lot of hard work to make work,
but its worth it with the right person.
