Right now, i am obsessed with the lottery, ive just started playing it ( a week under age but whatever), i had my first draw last night, didnt win a thing but im not giving up, my favorite thing to play is those scratch and wins, i usually win small prizes but im hopping to win enough to go to disneyland, im at 17 dollars right now LOL

(heres my savings thermonitor)

Image

ive been struggling with money my entire life, im not able to work at the moment due to my mental state, and i cant go to school, so I'm surviving off $320 dollars a month and living in a small apartment generously donated by my grandfather. its got running water, heat and electricity so i cant complain. i also babysit for an extra $120 a month so that helps a lot.

anyways, im hoping to one day win the BIG canadian lottery jackpot, at $50 000 000, i know its a long shot but who knows right?

so, what would you do if you won the jackpot (depending on where you live)

First, i would take my WHOLE extended family out to dinner (5 aunts, 6 uncles, 2 grandfathers, 11 cousins, 2 second cousins, my niece, my sister, and my dad) , give each and everyone $1000 dollars as a gift (including my mom who lives in another province) give my dad a million, my sister a million, buy them both and myself a house and go to disneyland and buy a PS4, a puppy, my dad a car ( or two) Take my cousin brandon to Harry Potter world at universal studios and finally start my own buisness.

Uh, you should really be careful. People who get addicted to the lottery often go broke.

^ Yeah what he said
Hm, never going to happen, but

I'd pay off my debts
I'd put 80-90% in mutual funds
I'd give about 100,000k to my mother and father so they could both get out of debt, least I can do for them raising me and maybe also pay off my siblings college debts
I'd get my car overhauled or get a newish one, not going crazy though, something practical. Maybe get a motorcycle
I'd get a small house or apartment somewhere
I'd then proceed to do one of the following:
a) finish my education, and scrounge for a career
b) do heavy duty volunteer work like peace corps or something
c) do a hell of a lot of long distance hiking, my money would be on this one initially

Yeah i know, dont worry i created a budget that i plan to stick to, i cannot spend more than 20 dollars on ticket in a week, ESPECIALLY my welfare money, i grocery shop every 2 weeks and after i grocer shop i often have a resonable amount of money left over (even after bills) so i have dedicated 20 dollars from that every two weeks, however if i am to get money as a gift or from another out source, i can spend at maximum half of that on lottery tickets.

i stuck to my budget this week, spend 12 dollars on scracth tickets and won 17, made a 5 dollar profit.

I'd buy a house for me & my girlfriend & we'd no longer deal with her Section 8. I'd pay off her debt & we'd get married sense we'd no longer have to worry about marriage screwing up her SSI. I'd also buy a new decked-out desktop, a new UPS for it, get the fastest net speed I can, & I'd pay to get data retrieved from a hardrive that crashed.

I would buy houses for myself and two family members. I would pay off the debts of two other families. I would give money for 2 family members to go to college. I would buy myself and two other people that I know a new car. I would donate a lot to an animal shelter here that I know of.

I would put money in various types of investments so that my money would make money.

I would start scholarships for worthy people that are struggling.

I would scan news stories for people in need, make sure they were decent people, and give them donations.

Not sure what else.

**Statistical improbabilities aside:

I would
-Pay off my car loan
-Invest a percentage into low-risk things such as CDs (certificates of deposit)
-Put a large percentage into savings as an emergency fund
-Pay back (plus a little extra) my parents for the various things the bought for me
-Buy a modest house with good resale potential
-Donate a portion to EDS research
-Donate to help homeless pets
-Travel to all of the places on my wishlist (it's a long list)

If I won the lottery, I would -

- Tell no one, except my wife, one of my lawyers, and my accountant.
- Set up an LLC or blind trust with my wife and I as sole beneficiaries.
- Cash in the ticket in the name of the LLC or blind trust.
- Quit my job, because "... I'm going into business for myself".
- Give 10% to the local homeless shelters and missions.
- Pay off all of my debts.
- Pay off my kids' student loans.
- Set up college funds for each of my grandchildren.
- Remodel this house.
- Buy or rent a camper and tour Route 66 to Chicago and back.
- Travel through Asia and Europe.
- Settle in a nice college town and become a student for the rest of my life.

I usually buy a ticket only when the prize is $100,000,000 or more.

Pay off my hospital bills for their misdiagnosis and pointless surgery that I had to pay for privately due to discrimination, get the rest of the surgery I still need covered, then disappear. Travel and never stop.

If I won the lottery (assuming it's a really big win), I'd:

- first of all, tell absolutely no one who is not a first degree relative
- pay off the debt my family has
- have my parents get 3 different kinds of operations/ medical treatments they need
- something really nice for my mother's birthday, not sure what
- buy new casseroles
- get a new better functioning toilet
- reinstall the Power Meter
- get some books and games I'm eager to get
- invest the rest smartly and live off it

I'd hide inside my apartment for the rest of my life because if I take a step outside I'll be vaporized by lightening.

No seriously, if you statistically have a much greater chance of being struck by lightening than you do winning the lottery, so If I actually did win then I guess that would be the very next thing to happen. I saw it in a cartoon once when I was younger. But I shouldn't worry since I never even buy lottery tickets, if you gave me one I wouldn't really know how I'm supposed to use it.

I really wish I could save the world. You know, heal the sick, house the homeless, give shelter to refugees from wars, protect wildlife, etc.

Since I can't I'd settle for building homes for the homeless.

I'd buy myself one of those bowflex step cycle machines with the moving arms. The one that's shown on TV nowadays. I'd also move into a house that looks like three peas in a pod on some countryside land with Dean and Barb. I'd also buy all the high tech gadgets that the three of us want.
