Please help me
I have to plead , PLEASE , someone help me with my attempt to go to San Francisco Community College
! !! !! !! !! !!
I Am Not Asking For Money (or gifts) , At all . Is that clear .
What I need is person/persons to help with making connections , etc. ~ I am already registered to go in the next semester which starts in May , but that is nothing , I actually have to get things set up , make connections , etc.
It is now or never .
When I went to CCSF's downtown offices , they just said " come back in a couple months " . When I was told " go to the library " the library simply said " What did CCSF tell you they wanted ? " and , otherwse , say " We can't help you " .
I need a person/s who will make connections , find out information , did things up ~ NOT in any way am I asking for money , just HELP
! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! To get questions answered , find out the people whom I should inquire things of , get my status fixed...Be my Fred MacMurray/Jimmy Stewart , aid me . Please ?
Even at least someone with a cell phone with US calls anywhere in the US could help me , they could find out things via calls and let me know via my tablet/E-mail , even though I don't have a cell phone .
I am CRIPPLED ,
shy ,
have a curfew at the shelter I'm at and
emotionally , my Aspie-ness makes me have a hard time going to new places ~ I can't " just hang around CCSF offices until they enroll me to make me go away " , they'll just call the security and have me thrown out , that's what tends to happen .
This is a now/never split ~ it has to be done NOW ! I could do it , but if I miss it ~ maybe never ?
I am not a " normal " person , in the way that people thinking about college applicants , eve overaged ones , are ~ No one would ask a 17 yr od to do everything for himself , and I am LESS connected to the educational world than he is .
Frankly , I get teary and dry-mouthed in this situation ~ the College-Industrial Complex has spit in my faceso many times
.
If I cannot pull this off , with som help offered (NO MONEY ASKED FOR) ~ maybe I couldtake the prescription pills I have and open the door to death , whatever , just be another unwanted dead bum ~ who could have tried to achieve his dream except no on would help him
?
PLEASE .
What do you have to set up?
What kind of connections do you need to make -- connections with people? Connections with services? Some other type of connection?
Maybe disability services could help you figure things out? Their website is: http://www.ccsf.edu/en/student-services/student-counseling/dsps.html

...The downtown CCSF office has already told me to go away , why would another office be any different ? Also , they've shown a tendency not to give full answers over E-mail . I need someone with full-time E-mail and a phone ,vwho will call and make connections , and set things up . Please
.
Was it the disability services office that told you to go away or some other office/department? Disability services is supposed to assist students with disabilities, so my thought was they might be a lot more helpful than something like the general registrar's office.
I don't understand what you mean when you say "make connections" and "set things up".
I'm sorry I can't be the advocate you need, ASS-P -- I don't even live in the US. I thought you might be able to find someone to help you with setting up whatever it is you need to set up, and making whatever connections it is you need to make, at the disability services office.

He means someone who can speak for him. Someone who can easily get acquainted with people. Someone who utilized communication and it's connections really well.
I would like to learn some tricks to be one, reminds me of how my mom does things for me. (And what have I done all those years in some online.)
I'm not from the U.S., but I want to learn some of such tricks for that kind of tasks.

So, you're already registered to go to school in May.. what else is there?
You're not very clear at all about what "things" need to be "set up" or "connections" that need to be made.
I comprehend that your goal is to get a college education.. but how do you expect to be able to accomplish it if you can't figure out how to register for a class and show up?
Also, once again, someone has offered you help in one of your many "I need help" threads and you've shot down their suggestion without even trying it - which was to contact the Disability Services office of the college and find out what help they may be to you. I highly recommend that you follow through on that suggestion and see if they might be the exact help that you require. If not, assess what additional help you may need and go from there. At that point, if you're posting here for assistance, try being more clear about what it is you need help with and I'm sure you'll get a better quality response vs. people being confused about what it is you require considering you've stated that you're already registered to attend in May.

I think that people generally have a good idea of what will and won't work for them and what kind of help they need, so when they don't do what others suggest I imagine they have good reasons.
Maybe ASS-P isn't able to contact Disability Services or has already tried that and it didn't work.
It's also possible that he isn't able to be more clear about what he needs (I have been in that situation many, many times), or that he just wants to keep that as private as he can (i.e. not tell the whole forum all the details of his situation, but share it with people on a need-to-know basis).
Whatever his reasons, it's okay by me that he didn't do what I suggested.
ASS-P, I hope that slenkar can be the advocate you need and that everything works out for you with the college.

He's been posting very similar requests for HELP for the last couple years & several people offer him advice, which he refuses to follow without any logical reason besides "other things didn't help, so this won't either," sort of responses.
He seems unwilling to help himself, which is why others stop being willing to help him. It's the very very old classic saying "God helps those who help themselves," scenario.
Here's the cycle that's played out here, repeatedly, for at least a couple of years:
ASS-P: I NEED HELP!
Forum responses: Here's some logical advice to try.
ASS-P: THAT WON'T WORK! I REFUSE TO TRY IT! I NEED HELP!
Forum responses: *crickets*
Call me harsh all you want, but thats the way I see it. While I'm not in ASS-P's shoes, I have been virtually homeless before - I spent a year and a half living in my friend's construction site when I needed a place to crash. I also have no problem with helping homeless people. In fact, I created, promoted, and hosted a fundraiser last Summer for a local youth homeless shelter simply because I feel for those kids even though I've never met a single one of them. I'm not anti-homeless or anti-helping homeless people. However, I won't spend my time and energy helping someone who flat out refuses to help themselves.
Someone posted a link to the disability services office of this particular community college. That should be ASS-P's first course of action - to see if they can help him. That is precisely what they are there for & they may have experience dealing with students with Asperger's and know exactly how to tailor their help to his specific needs. But he'll never know what they may or may not be able to do for him if he doesn't contact them and find out. If they are unable to help him, or he's unable to communicate with them, then I fully understand turning to others to request assistance - and in turn others offering it. But to shoot down such a logical, rational, common sense suggestion and instead continuing to shout off about how others don't know his story blah blah and asking for further help without even exploring the ideas already handed to him on a silver platter? Forget that noise.
Learn how to be receptive to the help you've been given, try things, see what you can do for yourself, exhaust all of your options.. and then, if necessary, feel free to request additional assistance. IMO. YMMV.
