Ever watch youtube videos others have posted or listen to songs people link you to?
I am so sure that the majority of videos people post simply sit there unwatched, much the same as I notice that often, people reply to topics having clearly not even read the responses of others...if they have even read the opening post!

Yep, this is what I am getting at. I try to read through most of the time before I respond to something, though I admit, it does take effort as I don't have a very good attention span for reading lengthy strings of writing... I am just wondering if it is a very aspie thing, lol...that we happily post our stuff, but often don't look at what others have posted, especially when it comes to youtube videos.

Yeah, this bugs me. I sometimes make a post and then just don't bother with the thread any more because they get repetitious because people just respond to the title of the thread and don't bother trying to form a discussion. I mean 99% of this forum seems to be devoted to spam threads where people can type one liner answers without reading anything anyway.

but when some of the threads are fifteen and thirty pages long its kind of understandable
I read as many posts as I can but my mind blocks out certain stuff, even if I didn't read that much. I think it may be the same with other people.
A lot of thos spam threads are in areas where one liners are ok, like the off the wall forum (where one worders are ok).

I understand that there are special sections for spam but I am referring to threads in General discussion and things like that where the same spam mentality seems to hijack otherwise decent threads a bit.

I do sometimes, but only if someone includes a description. I don't want to waste my time with something I'm not going to enjoy after all!
