Do you ever wonder how different life could be if you made different choices or if you had made one choice. Personally I'm in a good position now but if I had chosen differently in the past I would not be in a good position.

I do not wonder. I know what kinds of differences have been made, but on the other hand, Wisdom comes out of Learning from your Failures... Absolutely. It's something I think about often.

I think the biggest thing for me was my choice of university. I was so very close to picking a different one, and I was swayed by the smallest and most insignificant of comments about the course. The university I picked was where I met my husband, who completely changed my life. Without him I'd be living very differently, I expect I'd be isolated, and I wouldn't have my daughter. Then, there's the smaller scale - the exact decision that led to me meeting my husband was to connect with him on MSN Instant Messenger before starting at uni, because I was trying to prepare myself for going there and wanted to feel like I knew people in advance. One little click of a mouse...

So, yes, I think about it. And I find it fascinating, and also a bit scary to think just how easily my daughter could have never come to exist.

I thought about that when I was depressed. My life is good now thou so I rather focus on my life now than dwelling on what ifs.

I often wonder if my life would be different if I chose my college programmes and career instead of my dad putting me in a special needs job training programme. I imagine my life would be very different. I'd probably be a psychologist.

I wonder what my life would've been like if I hadn't been taken off the medication that I was on when I was a child by that stupid doctor, I might have been able to cope with things better if it hadn't been for him.

Yes.

Obviously eating an apple instead of a banana doesn't change anything, provided you're not allergic to apples.

I think about only when it could change something in the future. And yes that can include past things. Past things per se do not interest me.

The question that is a real unanswered question is: will it lead to the same thing? Is there a pattern of general choices for all of us?

I felt this way and watched All things - x files - and we can't know and it probably doesn't matter. Just keep aware and do the best you can. I'm glad CC greenlighted that ep that so many say it's not an X file. It's one perspective of the origin of what an x file is. The world, universe, energy, us. Maybe DD should look into it.

Yes, of course I think of it, and there are some things I would have given a lot to be able to go back and change, make better decisions. Some of those changes aren't big ones that would change my life, but things I regret, while others would have made at least somewhat of a change
