...but I didn't want to start three separate threads at the same time again. 8)

1. Why do I keep misreading things? Like 'you' will be 'I'. So they don't even look similar but I still confuse them. Is this normal when you're tired or something?

2. Does anyone else never like a song the first time they hear it, but only after they've heard it at least a few times? Even if it ends up becoming one of your favourite songs?

3. My mum has been complaining because I haven't been eating properly. I've been eating crisps and crap like that but I've not been eating proper meals. She says I'll have to tell the GP when I go see him about my Prozac. Because we were waiting to see if the appetite things was just temporary. What will he do, will he just put me on something different?

(1.) I don't know. I'm not you.

(2.) Yes. I also like songs initially, but after hearing them many times, I hate them for being annoying.

(3.) I don't know. I'm not him.

Yeah, happens to me ALL the time. Very rarely do I like a song a lot when I first hear it.

1. Pronoun reversal is common in people with ASDs. I haven't had that problem myself, but I do notice I make embarrassing mistakes when I'm tired.

2. Usually, my opinion of music doesn't change. I know what I like and what I don't. However, on rare occasions, there have been songs I hated at first, then liked.

3. I tend to eat more sweets when I'm stressed.

1.- yes.
When tired, the world is odd :P

2.- yes.
This happened to me once very clearly, with "media naranja", by Fey

3.- crap in = crap out

If you are eating that, that has A LOT of calories, so the correct thing is "I've been eating a lot"

So, Sopho, eat healthy girl!

1- Maybe if you're tired.
2- I have to understand the lyrics of the song. I may or may not get bored of them over time.
3- I wouldn't know.

I have suffered from depression for years. I manage very well now by:
1. Medication
2. Regular exercise
3. Good nutrition

If I let any of these 3 areas slide, I quickly go downhill.

Re nutrition - I've done lots of reading about nutrition and depression. I gave up alcohol almost 4 years ago after learning it is one of the worst things for people suffering depression. I don't miss it at all, and giving it up forced me to learn better ways to reduce stress/anxiety - meditation, stretching, yoga.

You need to eat foods that slowly release energy into your blood stream. When you eat crap like lollies/crisps you get a quick rise of glucose in your blood stream following by a quick reduction. This effects your mood ++

You're much better off eating low GI foods that give you the slow release of energy.

Oats are an old remedy for depression. I often have porridge for breakfast.

There are heaps of books you can get out about nutrition and depression. It takes a bit of time and effort to change your eating habbits but it's well worth it.

I find over Easter and Christmas I definantly feel the effects of eating too much crap. My mood is always worse for it.

Hope I haven't sounded too preachy. It was a looong journey for me to get myself sorted. But now I'm doing very well.
