2. Does anyone else never like a song the first time they hear it, but only after they've heard it at least a few times? Even if it ends up becoming one of your favourite songs?
Yes, this hapens to me all the time.

3. My mum has been complaining because I haven't been eating properly. I've been eating crisps and crap like that but I've not been eating proper meals. She says I'll have to tell the GP when I go see him about my Prozac. Because we were waiting to see if the appetite things was just temporary. What will he do, will he just put me on something different?
I have suffered from depression for years. I manage very well now by:
1. Medication
2. Regular exercise
3. Good nutrition
If I let any of these 3 areas slide, I quickly go downhill.
Re nutrition - I've done lots of reading about nutrition and depression. I gave up alcohol almost 4 years ago after learning it is one of the worst things for people suffering depression. I don't miss it at all, and giving it up forced me to learn better ways to reduce stress/anxiety - meditation, stretching, yoga.
You need to eat foods that slowly release energy into your blood stream. When you eat crap like lollies/crisps you get a quick rise of glucose in your blood stream following by a quick reduction. This effects your mood ++
You're much better off eating low GI foods that give you the slow release of energy.
Oats are an old remedy for depression. I often have porridge for breakfast.
There are heaps of books you can get out about nutrition and depression. It takes a bit of time and effort to change your eating habbits but it's well worth it.
I find over Easter and Christmas I definantly feel the effects of eating too much crap. My mood is always worse for it.
Hope I haven't sounded too preachy. It was a looong journey for me to get myself sorted. But now I'm doing very well.
