Just thought I'd share part of my Christmas shopping trip tonight because it has me sitting here laughing to myself right now. :D

I'm walking by this Telus (phone/internet/TV provider) display where you write down your guess of how many little stuffed animals are in this plexi-glass display for a chance to win a TV or something like that. I don't particularly care for his company (they're my least favourite one here, by far.) but I figured I'd throw my name in the draw anyways because I'm pretty good at guesstimating these sorts of things.

So, I start filling out a ballot and this sales promotor guy asks me if I have Telus TV at home.. nope, we're with Shaw right now. He asks how much I'm paying now and I tell him I don't know as I don't pay the bill. He asks who pays the bill and as I continue to fill out the ballot I tell him it's none of his business. He asks if it's a roommate or my parents who pay the bill and I respond and tell him (with a slight laugh) "It's none of your f*****g business."

I ignore him for a minute as I finish filling out the ballot, drop it in the slot, and turn around to leave. Then I hear him calling me.. wtf? I have my phone and my umbrella. I didn't leave anything behind. Why is he calling me? I turn around and walk back and he says "excuse me sir but you put your entry in the garbage." I look and they have ballots and pens sitting on top of a box which is a mall garbage can (this is a brand new mall with a variety of garbage can designs, so it's not obvious) and I look at it, and at him, and then proceed to tell him this is the stupidest display I have ever seen and LOL so hard. Some old guy busted out laughing. I'm like seriously? You put your ballots and pens on top of a garbage can with a slot in it and wonder why people are throwing them away?? You are too stupid to figure out how to let me give you my contact information so that you can try to phone and sell me something so you don't deserve it, I'm not writing it down again. I was laughing pretty hard by this point and he was getting frustrated, so I turned it up a notch and told him he was terrible at his job - the worst - and should seriously consider another line of work because he wasn't cut out to do this. I ripped a strip off him and told him when people tell him an answer of "it's none of your business," that means they're not going to f*****g tell you who pays the bill in their household and you should really stop asking because it's f*****g rude. He grew so upset that I swore and I was angrily telling my I "should not use f*****g," and I told him I didn't f*****g care what he thought, had a laugh, and carried on with my shopping trip.

Seriously, I am always SO NICE to EVERY sales and service employee having been one myself for many years, but this guy truly was just awful and had no business engaging with the public in a retail setting. Either that or he needs some serious etiquette coaching or something.

Seriously, though.. WTF?
