Okay, they're not really family members, but they're pets! Mom's going to buy me a couple of hermit crabs! However, we know next to nothing about them. So if you've ever had one, can you explain what it was like owning one? Are they hard or easy to take care of? Do you have to clean the tank often? You know, any basic information would be good. :)

I owned a hermit crab once, their easy to take care of. U just gota make sure their sponge is always wet, and that they always have a new shell to grow into always in the tank. Other then that, thats all i can remember

Do you have to clean the tank often or can you just let it sit there for a while the way it is?

Wow, that's nothing compared to the rest of the pets! And at one point we had rats, and we had to clean the tank every week! 8O

RedMage had a pet Hermit crab at one point, but it died, and she's still sad about it... :(

I've decided that I'd rather have
pets that die than those that don't.
