supposed empathy pathways in nt ,sociopaths,autistics

Wondering how much of nts empathy is them having there mirror neurons mimicking another person and then feeling their own body language ? Like judge Judy astutely getting people to uncross their arms so the feel less closed to being grilled . From what I gather sociopaths mirror neurons aren't impaired they mimic fine. I get slightly peeved when it gets misrepresented . On Luther ( I like the character and the series incidentally ) he starts on about no empathy, sociopath routine because the suspect doesn't yawn after he does.
