biomass harvesting to mitagate wildfires

Hi . Besides a crappy aesthetics why isn't the forest mined for timber then biomass fuels in fire prone areas like south western Australia in fire break lines in conjunction with wishfully controlled burning. Given what has to be a large percentage if not multiples of our energy needs is given off every year in wildfires and termite methane production
