I brought my cat new food, she won't eat it. I been giving her can food, I ordered her old dry food with more can food, they should deliver today, but they were a delay. I only have one can left, what should I do?

Cats can develop a life threatening liver condition called hepatic lipidosis if they don't eat for more than a day or two, so it's best just to feed your cat something that she will eat in the mean time, provided it's safe for cats. Most cats will readily eat unseasoned cooked chicken or canned human tuna. They just can't eat human tuna for every meal because it lacks the proper vitamins and amino acids. Once in a while is fine though.

do you have the canned food she eats and a dry one she don't? Did you tried mixing them?

You can also give her some meat, just prepare it without any kind of seasoning, you can give it raw or cooked.

I gave her can, she ate it, it was the dry food she didn't like. The old dry food came, now she can be a pig. I'm struck with 10 lbs. of cat dry food, it is two different food.

if you ever need to introduce new cat food to your cat you must to it mixing with the old one, changing little by little the proportion so she will get used to it!! but i'm glad the food arrived!
