When people wash new clothes, do you wash separate color clothes? Do you wash new socks too?

You should wash all new clothes before you wear them because many of them have chemical finishings applied which may irritate your skin.

I don't wash new clothes right away before I wear them
However, when you do wash something new for the first time it's a good idea to wash it alone or in colour groups just to make sure it's not going to bleed into anything. If it doesn't do that after the first wash you're usually ok to chuck it in as you normally would.

Thanks, can you wash new & old clothes together if they are blue or light blue?

You should wash the dark colors separately because the colour can sometimes run and stain lighter clothing.

I put everything in together, but most of my clothes are dark. The only things I'd be afraid of the colors running are new jeans, but I don't wear jeans so it's never an issue for me. If I'm afraid something might happen, I'll throw in a color catcher.
