Anyone else have zero interest in watching sports?

I really don't understand the attraction. It's just watching people doing the same thing over and over again with a ball for hours.

I feel mostly the same way.
There are sports I enjoy doing, althought generally I don't like the competition and noise typically associated with sports. But watching it? You have only the noise that way!

You reminded me a quote from Robert Kubica, a top Polish Formula 1 driver:
"If I had to watch Formula 1 on TV, I would most probably fall asleep."

I'm not one to be interested in sports per se. Although, I do like games like the Mario sports games and the Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games series. I also like when sports is incorporated into an anime show including Free! and Prince of Stride: Alternative. I guess adding interests to something I technically have a disinterest for makes me have somewhat of a liking to it.

I passionately don't give a darn about watching sports. Do watch pool/billiards occasionally because I sometimes play that. But I cant understand watching a sport, especially one that you don't yourself participate in.

Trouble is that if you're a male, you hafta fake interest, and hafta have some basic knowledge in order to make small talk on the job sometimes.

Instead of the Superbowl, we watched a documentary on ramen noodles. It was much more informative, entertaining, and an all-'round better use of our time.

The only sport I like to watch (and used to do) is Taekwondo. Amazing stuff, no balls. Um, well, you know.

Me! Watching sports is boring... when my sister still played football I sometimes went to cheer, but that didn't really have anything to do with the sport; I went because she was playing. If I had friends competiting in some sports and they invited me to come and watch I probably would, but it would be for the sake of maintaining the friendship, not for the sake of watching people do their thing.

Then again, I have nothing against playing stuff like football, basketball etc. I like swimming, too, but I don't like watching other people do this stuff.

Zero. I have tried to force myself, but even if I understood and cared what was going on, the noises are terrible: buzzers, announcers, shoes squeaking, crowds roaring. Can't handle it.

Not sport itself, but I like to watch genius in anything, like Roger Federer for example. Back in the day, I watched Bobby Orr a lot. The spectacular players that defy gravity, that sort of thing.

Same here. Totally couldn't care less. Respect the athleticism, but view professional sports as a gov't sponsored distraction to keep people occupied while gov't does as they please. Same thing since ancient Rome.

I've heard it compared to people enjoying Twitch gaming streams and the like. Kind of a vicarious entertainment experience, not really something "new" like a movie. I never got into any sports.

I don't like watching sports, I can watch 3 Gun Competitions for a little bit (like 20-30 mins) before getting bored... I like to work with with my hands. So if I am not doing something, I get bored and/or anxious. If I am in front of the TV, I am playing video games.

My daughter can watch hours of twitch... I find it maddeningly stupid. I can go PLAY that... RIGHT NOW... and I don't have to listen to some millionaire hipster dingus idiot screaming into his microphone...

It's totally football. My daughter watches twitch football. All hope is lost.

We do not watch any sports ever... we refer to them collectively as sportsball, and when anyone asks I actively mix up as many sports as I can in response.

"I just can't ever understand how the guy that got tackled at the 2 point line ended up in the penalty box for hitting a bowler thrown out of bounds. I guess the rules are different for college sportsball."
