A year ago today was when me and my family were involved in a car crash and the end of my father's Vauxhall Senator, a car we had owned for eight years. That car was my father's pride and joy and together we restored it to near immaculate condition.

It was a fantastic car, fast, nice looking and very unique. It was the only car I could travel in and now I don't go out in cars at all. I can't travel in anything else.

Some pictures of the Senator. I have hundreds of this car.

And then... A year ago today. This time last year that poor car was doing its final journey, 11:00 a.m. was when it got hit.

All because one man couldn't wait for the traffic lights to go green.

Such a tragedy and a waste of a fantastic car. Less than 50 of these Senators on the road now.

Nice car, never seen one. I only know the Opel Senator and they weren't good cars at all despite their expensive nature.

Was your dad's car insured at least? If so did the insurers declare it a write off?

Sorry you and your dad had to experience that.

That's a very nice car. I wish I owned one.

One year ago today, I was wearing disguises so that my scam artist bully wouldn't recognize me.

In my country the Vauxhall Senator 3.0i 24v was very popular. It had a lot of high end features from the digi dash to cruise control and more. The powerful engine allowed it to do about 156mph. For a car made in the early 1990s that was fast back then. The UK police bought loads of those cars because of their speed and road handling. He was insured and MOTd. Yes they wrote it off because the engine bay had shifted over forcing the other wing out towards the road. You can see it in the last picture. It was a bad day and an experience I hope to never have again.
