I am having food delivered to me by FedEx tomorrow. Problem is that I don't know what time they are coming, and I may be asleep when it is delivered. The woman I talked to said that it will be delivered between 8 am and 8 pm. My husband believes it will arrive in the afternoon (a lot of things he ordered were from FedEx).

From here, I wrote a note like this

"Please leave package with tracking number *************** on back porch. Thank you.

-WitchsCat, 11/21/18"

This is making me anxious. I tried signing up for FedEx delivery manager, but I won't get the confirmation code for 5 days. Did I do the right thing here, and will they take the note instead of my signature here? Or do I need to do something else?

FedEx just leaves things by our door which is rite next to the sidewalk so they could get stolen if we're not around. The only time they don't just leave things is when the delivery requires a signature. They won't accept a note on the door as a sig unless they leave a delivery slip & you sign that & they pick it up next time they come to deliver it. FedEX usually comes around the same time frame for us so i'd imagine it'll be the same with you.

Can you arrange to go to their office & pick it up? That may be easier. I did that when I was working. Better than having a package stolen, as I live almost next to two schools and on a main highway.
