I thought the OP was talking specifically about celebrities who committed suicide or those who had bad habits and died young-and the culture that glorifies such people and behaviors. I think this does a great disservice to everyday people who are struggling and who aren't bad people. A lot of the celebrities who fit that culture were definitely not nice people throughout their lives.
Some celebs commit suicide because they don't want to endure the ravages of disease and old age. I'm talking specifically about abject criminals who reach celeb status, don't value life, and consider their bodies and everybody's bodies "amusement parks". Some celebs are and were psychopaths. Psychopaths don't know they are psychopaths but their victims do. Psychopaths live out their lives as best as it is for themselves. When it isn't any good anymore, they do themselves in. When younger and better take their place and there is nothing they can do about it. It simply becomes too much for their ego and they self-destruct. It's not always about sadness and depression. Did you ever wonder "why" a person is so sad? Is it because no one worships the great God they imagine themselves to be? Is it because the whole world isn't giving them a living? Sometimes it's not about clinical depression. Sometimes it is a twisted self-indulgence. Multiple mental illnesses. If they're not worshipped, they lash out. Even after they're dead, people that know them, fear them. Maybe because they just might not be dead. That's how bad it could get. They consume souls the way a lion consumes meat. Do you think that a Lion thinks about the animal it ate other than thinking about how delicious it's flesh tasted.
