The sanitation company that picks up my trash charges the city to pick up recyclables and then sells them. When I lived in a rural area we threw everything in one dumpster and they sorted through it at the dump because they didn’t want to send two trucks. That shows they can separate recyclables and trash themselves. What we’re doing is making their job easier and paying for it. Time to stop recycling and create more jobs by throwing everything in one bin.
