Have you ever edited an article on Wikipedia? Have you ever STARTED one? 8O Is there anything else you can do on Wikipedia that you've done 8O?
I have editex, once started an article on a subject, but never got it up and lost track of the subject.

Yes, I do. I mostly make minor edits here and there, but some of them I get met with rollbacks out of disagreements. UGH.

No, but I've been tempted to correct the misspellings of people's names. One time, I noticed they had spelled the name of a certain runner completely wrong. That I know the right spelling makes me a bit weird, because very few people are interested in that sort of thing.

From about 2006 until about 2013 when I got diagnosed I was a regular contributor to a core set of articles. I am far from a good writer but but my Wikipedia days made a lot less bad.

I corrected the history of both the washing machine and washer-dryer combination(one unit that does both, not a stacked set of machines), they previously credited GE, but Bendix Home Appliances, A division of AVCO(Aviation Corporation) invented both years before GE. I knew that from being a collector and being on a forum, but the trouble was finding an academic source, the incorrect info surprisingly was sourced. Eventually I found one, though. GE's first washer was in 1947, Bendix in 1937, Bendix's combo was in 1953, or late '52. GE didn't have one(a rather cookie cutter effort) until a few years later. Bendix(by then known as Philco-Bendix c.1957) killed off their combo in 1968, GE in 1973. If anyone wants to know more, ask me, and I will create a dedicated thread.

No, I haven't.

I've seen some misspellings and just plain inaccurate info, but I haven't bothered to go through the process of signing up and deal with it.

Neither have I. It's just a waste of time.

I have contributed but it was a bit of a waste of time. Generally moderators volunteer to become moderators for their pet subjects and they tend to reject anything at variance with their core beliefs.

I correct factual errors and add the necessary citations. I also remove superlatives, inflammatory adjectives, and outright lies -- again, always with the necessary citations.

I'm like you, IstominFan! I like spelling to be accurate and often observe mistakes and typos in newspapers, online articles and web pages. I enjoy writing and blogging about things I find interesting, so need to be a good speller. I also like Scrabble, anagrams and cryptic crosswords.

So proofreading and editing is quite an interest of mine.

Nope. Never even thought about doing so. But now however I might edit the Wrong Planet page and enter that EzraS is its 347th most valuable member.

I wonder what citations you would use.
