Do you agree when it comes too the courts, nightclubs, and arguments men will always favour the women over the man.
Do you think men should stick together more in a world where being a man is arguably worse than being a woman? Women stick together and defend each other so why can’t men do the same? ![]()

In this world its worse being a woman than being a man.
In the western world its about even, it really depends on your circumstances. Being a high status man is better than being a high status woman, but being a low status man is worse than being a low status woman.
Men will not put other men ahead of women, its just biology that we care about women more.

Men don't have menstrual cycle
Men don't get pregnant
Average man, larger and heavier than average woman
Sexism
Average man more $$$ than average woman
Average woman lives longer than average man
Women have a larger gender norm restriction than men. Women can wear men's clothes and men's jobs , easier than vice versa
Do you think men should stick together more in a world where being a man is arguably worse than being a woman?
No I don't , it's not a gender thing for me , I want like minded people to stick close to me ( male , female or other ).
And to members asking for this thread to be locked.
I am not locking this thread , Jamesy said 'being a man is arguably worse than being a woman'
If you disagree , argue with him , although I would prefer a rational debate.
You could always ask another mod though.

Why should gender enter the equation? Doesn't seem relevant to an argument unless the context of the issue includes gender. It seems the core of your issue is us vs them. It's human to resort to tribalism, but all that does is separate people.

I don't see men always favoring women at all, quite the opposite. You're right it happens sometimes, but there are plenty of cases where men do stick together against women, at least in the States they do. Things may have imo improved in some ways in the direction you're saying, sure. But it's quite common for men to stick together in the "gender wars" especially on right wing websites, and in more patriarchal social contexts (in some fields of work, for example). The Men's Rights Movement is another far right example. Likewise Wall Street and alot of the rest of corporate America where "old boys networks" still operate across many firms, if not whole industries, to the disadvantage of women and queer people.
I would also put a man ahead of a woman if I thought the woman was being unfair to the man, just like I would put the woman first if the man was being unfair. I don't see why it'd have anything to do with gender; you should defend the views of the one you agree with (or just shut up if you don't want to get involved, but never defend the one you think is wrong if it's just a verbal fight.)
I mean of course, if a man and a woman were having an argument and I agreed with the woman (not because of her gender but because I think she's right) and the woman got violent, I'd do my best to defend the man despite thinking he's wrong since violence is never an answer. If I was too scared to physically get between them, I'd go get someone who wasn't. Works otherway around, too: even if I'd agree with the man yet he'd be the one to get violent, I'd call for help instead of taking the man's side at that point.
I haven't really been to night clubs, but I think that, in some way, it's logical for men to defend women there... I mean many go to those places with the intention of finding company in the sexual sense, right? Then defending women, even in a petty argument, makes sense since they can look better in the eyes of the woman they're defending. I'm not all that sure about it being right, but logically thinking, it's understandable if men do that. And if it's not a petty argument but a man's actually done something wrong, then it's simply right to take the woman's side. Of course, if the woman's the one who's done something very wrong, then it's not right for any man (or woman) to take that woman's side, assuming they know what happened of course.
I'm sorry, but how is being born as a man worse than being born as a woman? Even in this day and age, there are still countries that have laws that say a woman is worth less than a man. In many countries, a marriage is still arranged between the bride's father and the husband, who is often much older, sometimes old enough to be the girl's grandfather. From what I've understood, there are countries where a woman isn't allowed to work outside of the house without a male guardian's, usually a father or a husband, permission. In many countries, rape within marriage is not a crime and while this affects men too, it's usually the women who get raped by their spouses, not men. Women are also much more likely to be raped pretty much everywhere in the world than men. Men also often get a better pay than women from the same jobs. Some schools expect better results in the exams from women than men when they try to get in. If a child acts out, either because of autism or simply because something really did go wrong with raising it, it's usually the mother that gets the blame, not the father. And speaking of children, women have to risk their health and lives in order to have biological children, while a man just has to be there once (of course, this is in no way men's fault, it's just biology, but it's still a biological fact that making children is much harder for women than men. Raising can be done equally by both.) And yet, it's usually the woman who ends up with the main responsibility of taking care of the child/children. And housework too often falls mostly on the woman, though that is fortunately changing around here, however it's problematic that a wife/gilrfriend/whatever is often expected to praise and thank her man if he sometimes washes the laundry or somehting when it's usually her who does it. This isn't how it should go; it should be a given that housework belongs to everyone in the household (unless there's a stay at home wife/husband. If this is the case then the one at home should naturally handle most of the housework since they have the time. And if one works a full week and pays most of the bills while the other works part time and only pays a little, then the part timer should do more housework.)
There are a few examples why I find it hard to believe that being a man is harder than being a woman. Sure, some women definitely have it easier than some men, but there are also men who have it easier than women. And I know that men don't have an advantage in everything; some things really are harder/unfair to men, but saying they have it harder in general isn't really something I can believe with all the bad things that happen to women all around the world, usually done by men mind you, even in this day and age.
Also, this "women always standing up for each other" -thing is completely new to me; even the saying goes that a woman is a wolf to other women. But I think it's really nice if the women around you don't fit in to this stereotype.
Here in WP though, well... I'm not sure if men stand up for each other or not, but when it comes to matters of romance and such, to me it feels like there are some men here who automatically attack all the women if they try to discuss these matters. The message is pretty much "you're a woman so you have it easy" and "you're not unlucky in love, you're just picky." But do tell me, how does a 24 year old woman who's never been in a relationship and has had a strong desire to do so since preteen years, in other words over ten years, have it easy!? Also, I didn't have my first date (if it can be called that, I'm not sure) 'till this year. It's thanks to this stuff that I don't post in L&D anymore, haven't done so in a long time. I still sruggle and would like to share my thoughts on the matter, but since I'm a woman I keept getting attacked, belittled all the time. Not by everyone of course, but by enough that I don't see the point.

Really the men's rights movement is far right? How is believing fathers should have the same right as mothers far right?

I think men are more unfair to women. Men LOVE to tell women what they can & can not do with their own female bodies & men refuse to pay women as much as they pay their fellow man. Men also like to take advantage of women sexually & expect the women to do all the work involved in raising the kids that result.
