Is all cheese very fattening? I used to buy cream cheese for my bagels. I also buy America single cheese slices.

Kitty, cheese in itself [like most fats] is not inherently fattening. SUGARS/CARBS are fattening because the body generates insulin to convert them into body fat. so eat more cheese and less carbs.

the #1 cause of elevated cholesterol is not dietary fat but instead excess refined carbs which cause an over-acidic Ph balance in the body which causes inflammation which causes the liver to pump out more LDL [mainly] type cholesterol to patch up the resultant arterial lesions, which causes atherosclerosis which starts the vicious circle of cardiovascular disease. the solution to this is to stop eating refined carbs [basically anything white- white rice, flour, refined starches esp. corn starch, sugar of any kind, white potatoes, corn, alcohol, barley, couscous, bread, pasta, pancakes and waffles, burgers/hotdogs and fries, all processed meats] - all the good stuff you gotta cut out of your diet. when you do this one thing, your blood sugars and cholesterol levels will improve. replace these refined carbs with non-starchy veggies and fresh* oils esp. fish oil and coconut oil which is a prime source of medium chain triglycerides [a great source of energy]. AVOID all hydrogenated oils/trans fats. stick to quality cheese [NOT cheese whiz or kraft slices].

*beware of old oils as they are likely rancid, such causes inflammation which can lead to cancer down the line.

I look to see if there is trans fats, it's not always easy though to cut out some of the other things like bread and pasta.
I make vegie soup rather than buy canned soup.

by all means, remember you don't have to do it all in one fell swoop, you can do this in phases, gradually, no shock to the system. do it on your schedule that you're comfortable with, naturally. it is great that you cook your own veggie soup :wtg: :chef:

I've tried making cauliflour soup and broccolli soup but I was disappointed with them, with the vegie soup I make I put different veggies in it as well as pearl of barley and then use the stick blender its nice and thick then.

organically sourced is healthier but other than that, eaten in moderation is fine.

I never had organic cheese, do you know if it still good? I had organic baby carrots, strawberries & bananas. And I forgot organic soy milk.

East Asians are usually lactose intolerant, and cant even digest cheese as adults.

my advice is go organic only if 1] one can afford it, and 2] one demonstrably gets really sick after eating non-organic. very very few people will get sick from eating non-organic food but certainly there are a few who will.

I do eat organic bananas, strawberries, baby carrots & organic soy milk. I can’t find organic cream cheese. Is Kraft America single cheese bad?
