My birthday is this month, I will be 49, I’m getting more old Why people want to celebrate your birthday if you don’t want to?

If you're talking about August, my birthday is in this month also.
I'll be 29.

I know my kids want to celebrate mine because they want to get me presents and have cake.

I'll turn 25 for the 7th time on the last of this month.

I’m 59 in January.

49 is young.

I get cake, ice cream and stuff. I have no problem with that.

I will be 55 in November. I was looking forward to it, but I had another major failure in life. I think the improvements in my life will be fewer in number and imperceptible to others and myself from here on out. I don't see myself reaching any more significant adult developmental milestones. I am stuck at about a 22-year-old level at 54, and that's probably where I'll stay. A rewarding career, falling in love, dating and marriage seem forever out of reach to me.

I am far from the ideal woman. In a world that values looks, I'm well below the standard. I'm not ugly, but not pretty, either. More like a cute little girl type.

For the past decade or so, my birthday has been just another day on the calendar. Sure, my wife and I go out to a nice restaurant and maybe see a movie, but there's no party or celebration. I prefer it this way.

I agree. I like my birthday more now than I did years ago. In my 30s and 40s, I felt like my life was dwindling away and I was just waiting to die. Now my life is much more active, if still not spectacular in terms of accomplishments.

There are lots of handsome old men who would really dig a "little-girl-cute" woman of similar age.

I mean old men who are "silver foxes" and are elegant and treat women well.

I hated my own birthday party because life taught me that my friends will let me down, kind of like Claptrap's party, really . I have good friends now so I do enjoy it more, but old wounds are hard to shed. Now I enjoy it for what it is, eating food that may or may not make me gain weight with friends that if they cancel, I know they have good reasons.

I've never "counted on" anybody in my life....it's not good to rely solely on other people.

I was thinking about doing a speech about my senior cats and the lessons I learned from them.

"Everything I Know, I Learned From My Super Old Cats/Pets."

Samantha, age 20, was my best teacher.
