Strollers should never be on an escalator.

I see it so often at the local mall. People taking strollers on the escalator. There is a reason that buildings provide elevators. Take strollers in the elevator, not on the escalator.

Only faster people should walk on escalators? Not people who stroll? I avoid escalators anyway, and if I do use them I don't stroll. I stand still.

^ I don't know if you're joking or not, but a stroller is what a "pram" in the UK is usually called in Canada and the US.

All I can think of is how frustrating and awkward it must be to lug one of things around and then you have to take the baby out and carry them both when using stairs, escalators, or even trying to get on a bus.

A shop near here I avoid. It has a choice between esculators going up and down or a lift. I don't like using either so I avoid the shop. My Mum occasionally insists as it sells clothes and once a year I get a new tee shirt or a pair of trousers. The smell of new clothes (Seems to effect me a little as in the air feels "Thick" to breathe), and the "Knowing the only way back down is via esculator or lift" (I can do up esculators but not down) makes me panic inside.

Strollers... Prams.. We also have pushchairs. I used to hate going in the pram. So claustrophobic. I remember it! All I could see was a small area of sky! Pushchairs were much better in that way.I could see out. Yay! Would I want to see out going down an esculator? Ummm..

I've never seen a person with a pushchair (stroller) using an escalator. Perhaps in the UK they always use the lifts (elevators).
