My friend and I discussed this. The idea was to get a superpower that would be mainly useful for everyday life, not some kind of gamebreaker power, and one that was wholesome and not easily abused.

Some examples we thought of:

* You can read people's thoughts, but only when they're thinking something nice about you.

* You can put yourself to sleep with the snap of your fingers (for the insomniacs out there)

* You don't need to sleep at all

* You can heal terminal illness

I've also considered gaining like a cool eye design without pupils so don't have to worry about looking people in the eye lol. Like eyes that are one monochrome color, or galaxies in your eye or something.

What are your thoughts?

I'd much rather know if/when they were meaning me harm in any way, be it physically, scamming, or otherwise trick, fool me.

Healing would be good, then I'd do all I could to help our endangered species and make life better for those who co-habit our planet with us. It would even encompass plants so we wouldn't lose plant life and wouldn't lose wheat to things like Ug99 or bananas to Tropical Race 4 (TR-4).

I wish I could change people's mind so they would care about these things.

I'd definitely be up for being able to sleep whenever I wanted. I often wake up having to go to the bathroom and then I can't go to sleep again for many hours. It's very irritating.

And I'd definitely see the lottery numbers so I would win a big one.

Any of these:
Fall deeply asleep any time
Become invisible at will
Heal any illness or addiction
Induce feelings of calmness and peace in anyone

To be able to send out a swarm of wasps to deal with all internet/phone scammers - the phishing pests and all the other parasites that prey on people- and for persistent offenders wiping them out by spontaneous combustion rays instantaneously

I'd like to be able to tell if a product I'm about to buy is safe just by looking at it, especially food. Today at the grocery store I felt like I was in a cartoon where ghosts are hovering around me whispering "E.Coli" and "Listeria" over and over in my ears while I was shopping. :(

The ability to have restful sleep every night. I've had major insomnia issues all my life. I can't recall ever having awakened not feeling like I need more sleep and if I don't take the meds that let me sleep, I'm lucky if I get half an hour of sleep - seriously, I'm not exaggerating.

I also want the ability to tell if food and drink are safe to consume, I'm paranoid about foodborne illness.

The ability to heal (physically and mentally) with a touch.

I actually kinda like doing cooking.

But I hate cleaning up.

So... the superpower of being able to snap my finger and have the kitchen be instantly clean, the dishes (not even washed but just loaded into the dishwasher), and so on.

Omniscience, of course.

With this power, I would know how to steal everyone else's superpowers and keep them all for myself!!

BUWAHAHAHAHA!!

Not sure if these would be viewed as "wholesome superpowers", but I would use invisibility or shape-shifting as a means to provide care and comfort to people who seek it.
