toxic effect of NTs on Autistic children
This is quite a disturbing issue have seen in my earlier years . Older sibling or people that friend a more youthful , Autistic , edpecially if the autistic is trying to fit in , Setting a aspie person up
who tends to be more trusting . " hey little aspie person go over and take that item , we will be so happy if you do this . Now having fun is one thing but using a naive nature to take advantage of a less aware person , should be a crime. Then the aspie person if not made aware , sees this as way of acceptance. Be it criminal activity or whatever. Now this can extend into all sorts of directions .
have seen persons emulate bad behaviour under the direction of bad example intentions of others.
For acceptance , even if not in their own nature . Aspies are particularily good targets , i feel , if their early , moral compass was sabotaged . Any opinions on this dilemna would be welcome .Should the autistic person be removed from such an environment , even at the risk of a aspie person feeling you are taking them away from their friends, and What if you don't?

Don't paint all NTs with the same broad brush. Some may have problems of their own (i.e., addiction, depression, schizophrenia, et cetera), they may have no previous experience with healthy home lives and loving, supportive parents, or they may simply not know how to handle NT children, and be completely lost when it comes to children with ASDs (or ADD/ADHD, et cetera).
Besides, it was only in 1992 that Aperger's Syndrome became a standard diagnosis when it was included in the tenth edition of the World Health Organization's (WHO) diagnostic manual, International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10). It was added to the fourth edition of the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) diagnostic reference, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV), published in 1994. So anyone born more than a quarter-century ago would have been either mis-diagnosed, or not diagnosed at all (i.e., "Stop that damned rocking! I don't care if you're scared! Stop acting like a baby! Look at me when I talk to you!"). This may still be the case in certain religions, political affiliations, and urban cultures where the needs for psychiatric diagnosis and treatment are considered endemic to only wealthy white people.

Gigantic Sighes ... outloud ... sadly true and am glad more people are educated about .... these differences in humans , Having seen and suffered through some of those earlier times .
W.H.O . .... classifies it as a disease .... had a feeling that beethoven guy and Einstien guy had some disease process happening.
[Changes her brush to one with a finer point]....phuey... still prefers wider brushes .

Also children with downs syndrome or learning delays or NVLD can be more naive than the average child too.

Many aspies hate NT's because they had bad experiences with them in school. What they do not know from experience is that it may not have been all that much better if they had been in a school where all the kids were on the spectrum.
Look at how much bullying and manipulating goes on here on WP.
