My new obsession is entering sweepstakes, particularly those sponsored by electronics stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.)

I feel that I have a lucky streak going. But I don't gamble at casinos or anything, after I lost $13 on the slot machines at the casino on a cruise ship a few years back.

all i have to say tim_tex, just be careful what you fill out, and to if its a legit sweepstakes or not, let me just say, my mom learned THE HARD WAY about contests and sweepstakes, as a result we caught a few phone pranksters and also resulted in what meshgearfox had just said, JUNK MAIL. think spam in yahoo and msn is bad!?!?!?, ohh boy let me just tell you it took YEARS (yes years) to clean up and confront them phone pranksters with their SCAM!! they left me alone when i told them the technical backround of what happens when you actually win a million $'s they dont think or tell you about the taxes and the interest just to have it in your account, its like your recieving money just to spend it on more money.

but since im not your mother tim_tex, i cannot tell you what to do, good luck otherwise.

It is not coincidence that these types of sweepstakes are targeted at elderly people. Especially the ones that ask them to send in checks. You have very little chance of winning anything.

I didn't realise it was that kind of thing, I thought it was something like the lottery we have in the UK. Take care Tim!
