Do any of the Barrymores show AS traits or are they just alcoholics because of their lifestyle?

Ethel barrymore wrote a her autobiography called "Too Much Too Soon." Her reluctance at first to act was probably an AS trait. She was told, "You're a Barrymore, don't you know what you're supposed to do?" She made her acting debut at age 16 and was an alcoholic by age 26. Is this AS or not?

alcoholism is a disease like diabetes, and might as well be genetic as it runs in families.
Autism and Autistic spectrum issues might also be genetic.

you can have both, (I do) but they are not mutually inclusive, nor mutually exclusive.

very rarely does someone 'contract' alcoholism. nothing 'makes' or 'causes' you to become alcoholic. There are folks that are drinkers, and hard drinkers, too that do not exhibit alcoholic symptoms. Being an actor does not 'make' you an alcoholic anymore than being a bus driver 'makes' you become an alcoholic.
