100 channels, and still nothing on

Right now, there's a Girls Gone Wild infomercial on about 50 of the channels... why do I pay for cable if they're going to show infomercials all night? I think if you pay for cable, they shouldn't be allowed to sell huge blocks of time to infomercials... guess i'll just watch the all-night news like I do every night...

I just use my TV for my consoles and DVD player honestly.

I don't know which country is worse there America or England. In England we have the same problem.

I remember when I had several hundred stations (basically ever channel available in North America that was on satalite) and often still found nothing worth watching.

What I ment if you have Sky Digital you have a lot of rubbish and a lot of channel for example UKTV Gold and UKTV Gold + 1 which is everything that was shown an hour ago and if you think thats bad then try UKTV Gold 2 and UKTV Gold 2 + 1

I've been finding that generally the more channels there are, the worse the overall quality. For example, in Australia there are only 7 channels including digital TV (unless channels besides ABC and SBS have gone digital since I left), but I found it to be way better than Dutch TV, which has around 30 channels, and quite a bit better than English TV, which has around 35 channels (only decent channels are the 4 BBCs, some of the stuff on Film 4 and the ITVs, and Scrubs on E4 and ABC1). In Holland we never had to tape anything, in England we usually only have to tape things 2 or 3 times a week, and in Australia we had to tape things most nights, and on one or two nights we had to use both the VCR and the DVD recorder.

Of the 35 channels I get here in Holland (the *ahem*, "luxury package"), a full 1/3 are local access, with folks talking about their favorite pig, and how much they wish it'd rain. No fooling.

I know what everyone means. We have digital cable here and there are over 200 to 250 channels and half of the time most of the programs that are on we don't like or don't want to watch.
