Cuddling teddy bears can be therapeutic for trauma affected individuals. Article below:

I love my teddy bears. My favorite one (don't tell the others) is a stuffed gorilla, I'm offended (mildly) that he would have been excluded from the study. :P

I know right? How could the study organisers exclude the lovely gorilla from a study, or discriminate against non teddy bears in general?

Pfft. :P

Live pets are better for me. I was never much into teddy bears for cuddling.
I've had lots of them and they were cute, but I didn't even sleep with them in my bed.

I'm not sure if your mocking me or being truthful, but either way I agree with the words. I'm quite attached to my bears of all varieties and my blanket as well.

I can't do live animals very well. I don't like when they climb on me or demand my attention. We do have fish which I like and my daughter has a hamster but I prefer stuffes.

The body's need for bears. Who can explain it?

A German candy entrepreneur was inspired by the dancing bears he saw as a child and got rich making jelly bear candies. Later he "paid it back" by contributing millions to the conservation of bear habitats.

I always slept with a teddy bear when I was growing up. Now I primarily cuddle a golden retriever.

I have a stuffed basset hound. The very few people that visit and see it usually laugh. (They’re the clowns of the canine world. Think MGM’ Droopy, Columbo’s Dog , Emergency!, Henry, The Dukes of Hazard’s Flash, etc.

I wasn't mocking you.

As per the article I provided - teddy bears and conceivably cuddly toys in general have a psychological sense of safety associated with them. :)

The biggest feelings of safety I've ever had have been from stuffed animals and also the idea of having a secure hiding place hidden away from the world
