Yes, even if it means doing so illegally.

I researched which European countries needed GIS professionals or urban planners, and the only country that came up was Netherlands. While Dutch is perhaps the easiest European language to learn if you're a native English speaker, I would be too concerned about the possibility of Geert Wilders being PM.

I was so ready to leave for good, then a guy dressed up like Uncle Sam begged me to stay. I was about to tell him to get lost, when he offered me a beer. So, I agreed to listen. I didn't agree with most of what he said, but then he said, "Look, if you stay, I'll buy you an ice cream. Red, white, and blue ice cream." SOLD!

One thing I wanted to say though is this - many Aspies struggle with functionality in their home environment. Moving to a new place is scary for NTs; it would be downright terrifying for most spergs.

Many NTs, just in traveling alone, can make friends and do all right. I'm scared to travel alone. I struggle with people in my home territory, it would be worse in some place where I'm doubly screwed - foreign AND autistic.

In recent years, whenever I return from a foreign trip, I always feel happy to be back. I can't really imagine leaving for good or what other country I'd go to. There are certainly other countries where I could manage. My knowledge of French and German, and to a lesser extent, Spanish, would definitely help in much of the world.

This was less true when I was much younger, though.

If I was younger and could travel, I'd be in Germany right now!

Yes, I'd rather live in Canada or any of the Scandinavian nations.

Sadly, I know that leaving the country is only a dream for someone like me who is poor, has no skills of worth and is somewhat disabled. I'm stuck in the US for better or for worse. I do love my region of the US. I like the culture and the climate and it's really the best region of the US. The only thing I can put hope into at this point is New England becoming as independent as possible, efforts like what they've done with the Northeast Public Health Collaborative. They need to be greatly expanded to fill in the void.

The skills part is the toughest. A PhD in computer science is one's only golden ticket, even in the US. You want to live in the SF Bay Area or Seattle, and don't have a PhD in CS? Forget it.

I'm not American. Oh, I live in *North* America, but have fun calling people in Mexico or Brazil American.

But when I read that the orange turd wanted to annex Canada I was worried that I may have to move to Europe whether I wanted to or not just to get away from the madness. But how could I possibly do that? And I'll probably have a nervous breakdown just flying a plane and having to cope with all the changes that would come with moving to another country. I have no job, life or social skills that would help me to survive. I'm not young anymore, I'd probably have a heart attack or a stroke from all the stress.

If I'm reborn, I hope it will be in a better world than this one. But I doubt it.

I live in a civilized county. If the rest of the country isn't civilized, I couldn't care less.

I just wish Canada would loosen their requirements for amuuuricans to merely live up there without even becoming citizens. the requirements for long term residency are basically as strict as to become citizens.

I wish other countries would start offering to take in refugees from the US who are being persecuted due to their sexual orientation, gender idtentity, racial background, or being disabled. The US is trying to stop illegal immigration into the country by making it such a hostile sh!thole that lower class & minorities would not want to live here.

Canada is no better, so Americans should look elsewhere.

I'd like to flee to Germany and live in the Alps.
