Stunning, and what a beautiful blue sky too.
Went up in chair lifts a few times when young... some very high.
Guess my fear of heights was minimal then.

I am envious, I went up on a Gondola once to the top of White Face Mountian in the Adirondacks, its a very big mountain (winter olympics were held in 1980 and in 1932????)

I used to live around their for a few years, and have family all over from that area.

I dont think my mountains are as grand as yours are tho, heheh

nice pics man! I too love nature, i climb mountains, tho its been a little bit. That is fun also

those woods remind me of what I have here in NY, I am the one of very few that walk that area, and even less of the few that have permission to be back there as well as police a part of it if i want to. Everyone else is on 4 wheelers (so I have my walking trails, not the best walking/hiking trails but better then nothin) so when i saw your pic it instantly reminded me of the woods i haunt.

I have pics also, tho not digital. I have a satalite map of the area (USGS) and have a handheled GPS where I plot points and have information on the map.

Its kinda a hobby of mine, b4 i had GPS I traversed some of the area, i have been going back here, and its a relativly large area, many connected trails that together are a few miles long, but i have been going back here since I was 9, and have spent years hiking, camping, fishing and even doing deliniation work back their (again, hobby)

Someday I hope to purchase a small parcel of that proporty from its owner this way I can make my own trail back their to connect to the network of 4 wheeler trails already established (and of course ill have that mapped on my gps, heheh) and then i build my house upon the rest of it.

Heh

thanks. alot of people like living here and so do i. tomorrow when its light outside i'll go for a walk in those shivering woods. theres elk out here and deer. a stray mountain lion or black bear cant be ruled out of equation but i doubt i'll see any wild life. its probably just gonna be some scenery pictures, i finally found out how to work the camera

I am so envious of you. I live in a nice place in CNY, but you live in a spectacular place. I live right near a city port, and a collage campus, so had it not been for this geographical convinence I dont think I ever woulda gotton the social practice I did. Had i lived where u r where their is much less population density, i doubt i would be half as good as i am, i would be to captivated by nature.

You live in a very beutiful place and be fortunate that you do because so many dont. I like where I live, but I may not call this place home my whole life. Where you are I could definatly see calling home, when i sell this place and buy a bigger house, i plan on finding a nice peice of cheap proporty. Building my house and that will make me happy, and living near an area like yours would complete that dream!

I love Arizona! My parents went there every year to visit my grandmother and aunt who live in the Phoenix area. We liked to go to stay at a ranch outside of Prescott. It looked sort of like where you live with the trees and meadows except there were also a lot of really big boulders. I loved to climb this small mountain that had an old indian fort at the top. It was kind of tough to get to the top because there was no trail and you had to navigate through lots of rocks and brush and prickly pears. I thought of it as my own little secret place.
