I was my fathers favorite fishing buddy, i loved just sitting there staring at the fishing pole and water just zoning out and rocking haha. I love reeling in that big fish, having my father actually be happy to hang with me, instead of treated me like a ret*d like he would sometimes do, he treated me like an equal. My brother who has adhd couldn't sit still and wait that long, always had to get up walk around haha.

I was talking to my friend who is a childlife/recreational therapist about it, shes like a lot of autistics like things like that, nice and calming with the waves, no loudness, and usually tend to be very content with just sitting there and fishing! Of course, i don't think every autistic likes it, but thats why i was asking, if anybody else likes fishing?

My dad used to take me out fishing. I'd start to feel bad for the fish and put them back in the water.

I like to go fly fishing...and being in the quietness of the river I am fishing in.

When my family would go camping on the St. Lawrence River, my dad would take my sisters and I down to the docks to fish. I never really liked fishing on the docks because there was so many people and alot of noise...especially when a BIG ship would pass through off in the distance and always blast its immense horn.

I have never been fishing but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't derive any special pleasure from this activity. It seems to be boring to sit all the time and only wait for fish. I like only fish living in my aquarium :P :D

Yea, but I've never caught anything. It's just nice to be around nature.

 This reminded me of when username88 told me he had a nice break from his parents and went fishing with an old friend.

Where is he?

I like to fish when I go up to my grandmother's house. The lake is right behind it. it's awesome. Though the part of the lake we are on, the Sun is shining in such a way that it reflects off the water and onto you most of the time. But it isn't enough to stop me from fishing. ^^
Me and my brother caught 53 bluegill together one time. It was awesome. And our uncle thought we wouldn't catch that much, so earlier that day he offered to clean and fillet any fish we caught... He and his friend only caught 3 bluegill that day at a different lake.(he let those go.)
Though in our lake, we have a ton of painted turtles... they'll take your bait. :S

I went fishing once with my step-dad. He said I scared the fish away by talking, since I talk really loud. :P

Fly fishing is one of my obsessions. I also like to go trout fishing with ultra-light tackle in small, brush choked streams. Fishing is not a matter of life and death, it is much more serious than that.

I like fishing, but for some reason i can't caught anything XD Well maybe except on gaia, i'm pretty good at their fishing game.

In real life, i often go berserk and cautght fish with my hands lol it's much easier but disguisting. For some reason everything that is inside fish gets out when you 'hug' it, well maybe except the brain, but do they have some? I doubt if they think, so it would be logical if they wouldn't have any brainz XD No food for zombie like me. :(

It's cool to just sit and stare at the lake though...

I like fishing. My family (particularly on my dad's side) loves doing outdoorsy stuff like fishing, hunting, and camping. My dad's actually a commercial fisherman; he fishes in Alaska for about three months out of the year during the summer. I've gone with him a couple times and it was a lot of work! It had a lot of fun parts, however. There were loads of pretty sunsets and views that were worth a million words (as compared to a thousand! lol) and lots of wildlife to look at. The drive up on my dad's boat from Anacortes, WA was a nice one; we went all the way to Sitka, AK by boat, going through parts of Washington, Canada, and Alaska. Another cool thing is that a lot of the fishermen there were really nice and smart guys. It didn't pay a whole lot for a deckhand, but it was a nice experience that not a lot of people get to have.
