Moved out part-time ( during university terms) when turned 19, and then permanently when graduated aged 22/23. I think it may actually have been a very bad idea actually because what i did almost as soon as got to uni was drink, smoke and etc without the customary controls set by my parents, but on the other hand both they and i were utterly fed up with each other!!
After college( 4-6 rooms around a kitchen-living-room and bathroom set-up) , lived in bedsit to begin with, then shared-flats or houses. Managed to get a "safe" flat all to myself with a housing association in Manchester in 1996, but stupidly, recklessly, threw it up as a result of getting swept up in a personal development programme in London, and falling in love with one of its other members. Since then always shared again.
At moment share a flat, a house really but most of it needs renovating, with my son and his father, but am just beginning to see the real possibility of moving out to a room close by in the village here, and just being here in the week with my son when his dad is on the road visiting clients. This would be *!*!*!*!*!*!*!**!*!*!*!*! !*!*!*!*
