A spooky coincidence

I've often experienced strange coincidences and I thought I'd share one I had
recently.I was watching Deal Or No Deal on TV and at the same time I picked up
a paper to start doing a crossword.The clue for 1 Across was "Issued The Cards"
(5 letters). I found myself writing the answer DEALT just as a the contestant on TV
said 'DEAL'.
I think that sort of thing is really spooky.Of course other people may think it's
no big deal

Well.... ok,here's another one.I was once reading
a post on WP that mentioned 'mulch in the
garden '. At the same moment Columbo was on
TV and he said the word 'mulch'.

I think these coincidences may be the work of
higher powers,trying to tell us something.

You're supposed to DEAL with MULCH?

Basically you were having a Hurley moment.

Sounds a lot like synchronicity. That s when you see a pattern or repetition that could be either coincidental or spooky. I once saw the south park episode 'mecha streisand' in which robert smith of the Cure, film critic Leonard Maltin and actor Sydney poitier have appearances. After watching, i changed the tv to mtv..... a cure video was playing. Later in the evening, i found a movie on tv with sydney poitier in it. Then on the news the name Leonard Maltin came up. weird. It is funny how those things happen sometimes.

that's what we call coincidence, but then again, I like my original explanation. That they were having a Hurley moment.

last year at work, I was reading a website about the game lemmings (during lunch), when I turned my head, 2 coworkers were playing lemmings on their pcs...
