hey there!

I wanted to know if it's okay to add a tiny bit of water to my mouthwash to take down the sting factor a bit. Will it work maybe not as well but will it still do the job?

I have that light purple stuff that's supposed to help rebuild enamel but it stings like an SOB when I take it straight up so I trickle a little water in it.

Also, when I get oral piercings, they have me swish with that horrid amber Listerine. Yeech!

molecular composition of the mouthwash is not changed by adding water, what you are simply doing is adding water molecules on top of whatever mouthwash is in the cup so practically you are getting the same dosage of mouthwash, you are simply adding on top of it the water which mixes with the molecules, mouthwash is not water soluble from what i know so the composition of the molecules will not be changed

so yes... i think this should be perfectly fine...

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Yeah, diluting mouthwash with a bit of water shouldn't be a problem. I'd think twice about the mouth piercings though as they often cause damage to the teeth (cracking, chipping) and it is not uncommon for people with them to need a lot of dental work a few years later. This might not be such an issue with lip piercings, it is the tongue piercings I am thinking of.

I dunno, one of my friends walked into a wall and chipped half her tooth off thanks to her lip piercing...! ! (Yes, she was a tad drunk).

I always just use salt water as a mouthwash... no nasty fluoride (which actually destroys teeth and poisons your body and brain, rather than 'protect' them like you're led to believe - nasty neuro-toxic waste from aluminium smeltering plants) and no other crap they put in it. Works just as well as an anti-septic, and won't sting as much.

home made remedies for mouth wash are very effective, low cost, safer, non toxic...

these corporate crap mouthwashes a lot of times can be harmful to the autistic/aspie/PDD-NOS brain and any other person with neural system damage as these contaminants can sometimes bind to neurons and destroy them.

My mothers DDS said to dilute mouthwash. Especially Listerine as it is too strong and can damage the gums.

Fluoride in general damages the gums.... causes them to pull away
from the teeth.
