How about that ice storm we are having?

How many of you park your cars outside and had them become giant ice cubes?

I really wish I had the time today to go out and snap some pictures of the frozen plants and stuff today. But alas, I don't, I'm volunteering at one of the bigger campus' in my church tonight and practice was supposed to start at noon but no one's here. :?

Anyways, discuss your experiences in this weather.

I don't live in the Midwest, I live in Texas, but today it atually snowed! That's very remarkable for Texas, since it usually doesn't snow until around January or February.

We occasionally get "lake effect" snow and such coming across and down from where you are on the other side of Lake Michigan, but today the wind is going the other way! While I was out in the garage for a bit this morning, I heard people in the parking lot next door scraping ice off their windshields. I will venture out to clear the ice off my steps and stoop maybe sometime tomorrow ...

I'm in the Ann Arbor area, and this morning when I went to deliver papers my bike had ice in the gears and breaks. I had to ride my step dad's bike which had been in the garage overnight.

Ya, I had a good half inch of ice coating my car. I actually could barely get to my car because my driveway inclines up and it was too slippery lol. I was kind of inching my way sideways so I wouldnt slip onto my ass. It's kind of amusing though cause it got kind of warm and it melted pretty quickly (you'll notice my neighbor shoveling the ice off her driveway in shorts in the background).

But it's been a while since we've had a big ice storm like that, was cool though, I was able to roll my window down and the sheet of ice just stayed there.

No snow or ice yet. Whenever it's cold enough to snow there's no precipitation... as soon as the tempure gets over freezing it rains... Had a nice cold wet and muddy Christmas.

Weather man says snow on wednesday though... kinda sad we didn't get it on Christmas. I lived in the desert for almost ten years. I was dreaming of a white Christmas. :(
