It is my least favorite month. All the freezing cold weather.

It's never really bothered me but I can sort of see how it might be an anticlimax after Christmas and New year

I have a problem with people turning into bioterroists this time of year, and whenever they cough in public I'm tempted to throw cough drops at them.

I never did like the month of January. I kept my tree up so I wouldn't fall into old patterns of coffee and energy drinks. It looks like I've made it. Today is the first of February.

I like that my birthday lands on it but other than that I hate it because it's the bit of winter along with februrary that drags on and on. I don't like winter, it's dark and cold and wet and I hate wearing loads of layers. Cold and flu spreads around so I'm always fretting about coming down with something and having my week ruined.

It's February now, practically the beginning of spring in the UK. Spring is my favourite season.

Yes, it's the coldest month and I live in a cold country.

I like January more when I lived in Louisiana because Louisiana is very hot & humid for half the year. The cold in January wasn't usually very extreme & didn't last very long. I find January to be a lot colder after moving to Vermont & I hate being very cold almost as much as I hate being very hot. When I was working at WalMart I kind of liked January because the Halloween through Christmas holiday season was over. I worked LOTS of overtime during the holiday season because my regular pay was just over federal minimum-wage. Having less stress & working a little less was a nice change.

I find January boring, nothing to watch on TV, all there is is sport on every channel, the radio announcers have gone on Holidays so there are only people filling in its not the same, then there is the stinking hot weather you can't go for a walk because its too hot, so you end up staying in with your blinds down and air cooler on.

my least fave month, it is like having climbed a steep hill [to December 31] only to be knocked down to the bottom to start all over again.

Except for the cold, it's not that different from other months.

For the most part, I don't like to start my car in less than 40 degree weather. Yeah, modern engines can take much colder, but I don't like to do it if I don't need to.

Remember the old radial aircraft engines used in World War II? They had to preheat those up to at least 40 degrees before starting. I have read that if they started them cold and then tried to take off, the engine could be expected to fail during or shortly after takeoff.
