I;m no longer in Maine, but I grew up in Portland (Munjoy Hill), Lewiston, and Brewer. --I moved away in 1993, and was back there for about 8 months in 2003-2004.

Frustrating how one can't find enough other people w/ASD outside of large cities.

I noticed another thread where you indicate that you're planning on moving to Phoenix. --I did the same thing in 1986, before returning to Portland.

Phoenix is fairly easy to get around as the streets are laid out in a grid pattern. Numbered Streets run north to south east of Central Corridor, and numbered avenues to the west of Central. That being said, Phoenix was a complete pit.

If you're going to live in Arizona, I would suggest Tuscon instead.

I heard Phoenix was a pit, that scares me. I only have to survive for the length of time in school. Or till a better place of

living pops up. I wont have a job when I get out there. How about south Mt naborhood? It is not to far from rt 17 I just have

to jump the high way and go north to deer val road. that is good it is in a grid I would never find my way.

When I was there, the areas south of Buckeye Rd. were pretty much mostly Mexican, which wasn't that bad, but you had to watch out for the Mexican Gangbangers. This was 22 years ago, I have no idea of what it's like now, but I would imagine it's about the same or worse, depending on the gang situation.

I heard that the gangs were getting to be real bad and that it is a big problem. Maybe if a get a tan I could look Mexican  well Mexican/korean you think that would work? LOL . Going to have to get a big old lock for the motorcycle.

My sister Amy lives in New Mexico and her husban says the gangs are a big problem. he just got his face all busted up by one in his town.

I don't know, Asian people seem to be able to blend in more in a Mexican/Latin setting. I know a Cambodian guy that was always spoken to in Spanish whenever he went to a Mexican restaurant.
