I do. I don't think Aspergers syndrom has nothing to do with the kind of financial problems we have been having. Sometimes people are surprised, really. I have the same poor luck as my dad. I get sick, get diahrea, my car suddenly malfuncions, or anything that flat out keeps from a job that would last for over a year. (no, I'm serious. I tried and I tried. Something keeps stopping everything.) The length of time my jobs last, seems to magicaly run out in a certain amount of time, just like it all did for my father.

He would do repair work well enough that he has often been complimented for. That didn't make up for the repeated times that each business went out of business. There was always some reason, and many of them he wasn't responcible for. Example: He worked for a little place that sold electronics and stuff for vehicles. As usual, soon as he feels he's got a stable possition, the business was suddenly more unable to pay bills and such, and went out of business. He lost enough jobs that way.

The last one he worked for, without warning, just closed up the store and left! No warning at all! That one right there, gave him heavy doubts that this luck would ever changed. Thus, he still repaired things at home, and works at home. His customers are fewer, but he does some work. Naturaly, technology has made it more difficult for him, and he sometimes needs a customer to hand him the scematics of their electronic device.

He has been from job to job, during our upbringing, and our family was poor. My mother didn't have that kind of luck, but hated working for so long. My sister obviously doesn't have our bad luck, because her very first job has laster for over 6 years now. :( Well, I am the first born, and I do sort of take after my father's side of the family line very much. 'sigh' Despite the fact that I'm a girl, not a boy, I'm having the same problems. Something of sick concequence will always try to stop my success!

I suspect that something may have started with my grandfather, and greatgrandfather on my father's side. They just won't talk about my greatgrandfather, and I never really heard any possitives about Grandad. Grandad was very abusive to his family before he died. I wander sometimes though, was he greedy in anyway? Did he make other lives a living hell, or cheat to be ontop? It didn't sound like he was cash broke! I wander where the money thing fits in with these guys.

Geeze, I wish I had a phsycick for this! I want this strange problem gone. I have always felt like there was something negative. Never could put my finger on what. It's hard to explain and figure out. :( And please, PLEASE don't call me paranoid. You'd think the same thing as I do if you knew what all went on here.

no I don't believe in curses, if I did I'd be figuring out how to cast them on my mom and step dad.

I think some people are dealt really sh***y cards in life and I think life is really unfair. Really horrible people have all the luck (my parents) and then other really good people can't catch a break (you and your dad)

I think some of it though is your mind set. If you think that you are cursed you are going to in a sense curse yourself. I think you need to try as hard as it may be and believe me I have a hard time with this one too, but try to keep your head up and see the positive side of everything. Is it possible that now that is has happened a couple times that you are some how subconsciously sabatoging your jobs when that magical time hits???

If my beloved Boston Red Sox can win the World Series after 86 years, and again three years after that, then you can get yourself out of this. But it starts with you having a positive frame of mind and not allowing yourself to be defeated before you even start.

I used to wonder if I was cursed, until I found out it was Asperger's. That made a more constructive solution to my problems possible.

Yes I believe in curses. I've been hexed since I was 6. I wish I knew who it was and why. The only thing that does keep them away is my quija board.

ehm, perhaps you misread? This isn't just a couple of times, it's over the course of our lives. It's NOT my father's fault that alot of this happened to him. He didn't even do anything wrong to them. In fact he got along great considering his AS likeness. Even has one ex boss as a best friend. (though frankly I think the jerk doesn't diserve to be my dad's friend.)

:( I have played the nice gal for long enough in a work place.

please feel free to share your own experiance with unsuccess, and how it was your fault. :D  ahah.

Though, I guess a person could be right about the fact that I need to 'let go' the need to please jerks. I would rather look for work for me, not keep doing it for expectaions. I have been doing that alot in the past, and I think my father still does it in a mental sence.

I can't find a job, but it's not because of curses but because the business owners in Scott county are stinky. I got fired at one job last year and now nobody will even consider me. After I'm old enough to get financial aid I'll go to college. Right now I'm studying college textbooks on my own so I'll be prepared (I don't want to be overwhelmed there.) Being a peon at a worthless store is not how I want to live my life anymore. Go Chemistry!

I don't believe in curses in the since of vexing a person, like in witchcraft/voodoo doing a ritual or saying "I curse thee". But I do believe in bad luck, fate, and the need for things to line up and be right for success. And yeah, your mentality plays a part.

For instance. I went from job to job for a number of years lasting an average of four months each job before being canned or quiting just before I would have been canned, before I caught a stroke of luck and was interviewed by a person who liked me right off the bat and helped to ensure that I kept the job beyond the trial period. I've been working there for over eight years now.

Also I attempted to go to college, and every time I got the money to be able to go something came up that prevented me from being able to use the money for college. I inexplicably blew quite a few new tires, for instance. I haven't blown a tire since I stopped intending to go to college.

ok you need to calm down, I was not attacking you I was asking a very fair question and yes I will show you how I do it and how my failures were my fault.

This right here I have learned is a problem. And believe me I learned the hard way. I was let go from my job (no reason other than my step dad couldnt' handle having complete control over me) and I had done EVERYTHING for everyone else, being the best boss I could be and taking care of my people. When my dad gave me the big old f you not one of them where there for me. So I have now learned to only take care of me.

My sabatoging question was not one to be rude. It was honest. If you believe that you are cursed and these things are going to happen it is quite possible you are gearing your mind up for it because it always happens and not even realizing it you are ending your job. I have done this with friendships over and over again. I am starting to realize it now and trying to control it but looking back over my life and why I have not held a best friend forever like many people do I see that it is because I would do exactly that. I am the queen of subconscience sabatoge! I did it (hell I still would if my husband didn't see it) with all my romantic relationships too. My mom and dad had me convinced I was no good so I would be great in a relationship for the first little while and then it would creep in there that yep I'm no good and he's going to leave so I would lash out first and hurt him first so as not to get that blow of him leaving me.

Yes, I believe it to be possible to manipulate the future using your mind. It becomes difficult when it is something you desire overwhelmingly, or so I have learned from experience. My best example of this happened when I was in highschool, when there was a kid in particular who continually harassed me, once followed my bus to my bus stop on the way home from school, in a truck with his friends, waited for me to get off, and followed me as I walked from my bus stop to my house, yelling hateful/obscene words and even threats the entire way. When it was all over I thought to myself how wonderful it would be for him to ruin his own future, and entire life because I hated him so much. I thought how humorous it would be if he did something incredibly stupid, like be in possession of a bomb on school property, and get expelled JUST before his graduation. Sure enough thats EXACTLY what happened. His name was Tom Brooks, I went to Cape Cod Technical High School (in Harwich), (grad year 2006). Look it up for yourself if you dont believe me.
As of now, there is only one more thing I need in my life to make it complete. Its a very strong desire and weighs on me a lot, and has for my entire life, and yet is still something I (seemingly) cannot have (or at least by using this technique). You all know what it is already so I dont have to go into it obviously.. My point being is that in order for this technique to work, (I know this sounds strange, but hell, it works!), you CANT let it weigh on you, and this CANT be a conscious action. It all has to happen when it happens, it cant be something youve been brooding about for long periods of time. To put that more simply just read my example, that guy pissed me off in the heat of the moment, I briefly fantasized about his defeat, then went on with my life not thinking about it ever again until it actually happened, without saying to myself "I want this person to be cursed". So Ill say it again, this all must happen in your mind subconsciously in order for it to work.
The example I used wasnt the only time where this occurred, it was the only one of which there is written evidence online to prove it happened so I decided to use it.

You know now that I think about it, the less silly the belief is in curses. I believe in curses of an earthly form. This is going to sound silly but my belief would be someone who tricked you into thinking that they were someone else. You know like identity theft. It puts a curse in your bank account. You probably wonder, "why me?" or "How can this happen?" To me that is an example of someone using powers such as your ID to manipulate your life.
