My mother is driving me up the wall!

To all those who live with their parents,
My mom tends to down talk me when family members/friends come over for an event. This down talking includes but is not limited to “ Pull your shirt down. Chew with your mouth closed , and Don’t get that However my shirt IS down , I DO chew with my mouth closed ,and I HAVE an attitude because she is being condescending.
How does ANYONE put up with that?
I am in college, have no job, and cant drive so it isnt like I can move out...
PLEASE HELP ME!! !

At age 20, you shouldn't be putting up with that.

You need to have a quiet discussion with your mother about this and the effects it creates.

I concur. Just keep it respectful, cause you want to stay in control of the situation, and if you start backtalking or anything like that she'll get offended and crap and not want to listen to what you mean.
