Gah, at first I thought that brown box was your arm. Get it off! Get it off!

So did I, and I thought the same thing. I don't mind looking at spiders, as long as there's no threat of it actually touching me.

I suffer from a sever case of arachnidphobia(not sure if that's correctly spelled) but I don't seem to be afraid of tarantulas. That on the other hand is one creepy ass spider, I shutter to even think the bite!

They are venomous. Their bites were frequently confused with brown recluse bites, as the ensuing wound develops and appears similarly.

Here's the expert, who along with his sister, Rebecca, named the Hobo, Darwin Vest:

There is a mystery as to what happened to Darwin Vest:

See the Moscow (Idaho) Online paper for the best article.

I couldn't correct the title of the thread to correct the name of the spider. It's a funnel-web spider. Non toxic. Well, that is to say they do have some stuff that'll make their prey sick or even die but it won't harm you - other than the bite itself.

The hobo spider is a funnel-web but the hobo spider lives in the Northwestern US.

Not if it's an Australian funnel web. That'll kill you.

Yeah that one looks right, those two big legs in the air.
Funnelwebs (Australian) are quite toxic.
