Iodine fluctuations topic

There are people with goiters, but this picture looks as though it was taken one hundred years ago. This is a rare condition because of better diets, at least in first world nations.

Most people with goiters and hypo/hyperthyroidism hide their deformities or try to get them diminished/removed nowadays. I suppose a double goiter might not be unheard of.

I am surprised anyone is shocked by anything anymore. Anyhooo.
