I have a problem with the front passenger's car door. You can see it here:

How does one get it replaced and how much should it cost?

Many thanks.

Oh... weather stripping!

I got nothin', sorry. One would need to know model+make. Plus, prices vary depending on how you go about it and where you are located.

I don't know anything about Lancers, so I think I'll let someone else take over from here.

It should pop right back in place. Are you saying it is too tight of a squeeze? If so, you may have to take it back off and run it down from the top.

It comes off every time and won't 'stick' back on permanently.

Does it appear damaged in any way?

Go buy weather stripping adhesive from an auto parts store. Put a dab or two where it goes in and push it in place. The rubber is just getting old and worn so it doesn't stay in by itself anymore.

I don't know about Mitsubishis, but Toyotas use rubber stripping which can be tucked back into a groove. Yours looks to be that same way. Is the rubber torn, or just pulled out? Take a close look at it, and see if it might just tuck back in without having to replace it. If it's not tucked completely in, it can come out again, or if the rubber is damaged or if the door frame is bent, you'd have to either replace the rubber, or glue it in with black silicone rubber adhesive. NOTE: A little goes a LONG way. Just a dot of silicone rubber every 5 or 6 cm should do the trick. If you get it smeared on the paint or glass, wipe it off with a dry paper towel. Don't apply the dots of silicone until you have made sure that you can fit the rubber exactly right, as it will be very messy if you have to try to fit it more than once, after the silicone is on the door frame. After you have done it, carefully wrap a few loops of blue painters tape around the rubber to secure it in place for a day.

It's weather stripping, it's a do-it-yourself fix and relatively simple.
Google gave me this as the first result: http://www.jcwhitney.com/weatherstrippi ... j1s17.jcwx
You just need some adhesive, as some explained before.

This, depending on how much it has stretched you may have to cut it and shorten it a bit.
