Maybe something to do with Apollo?

Perhaps Xelebes was thinking of "Adonis" (def a very handsome young man).

Now that I have access to my searchable dictionary, the only other word I can find is "alevin" (def a young fish, especially a newly hatched salmon when still attached to the yolk sac :eew:).

I still like "ankle-biter" best, and no, I didn't make it up--I'm not that creative: ankle-biter. So it's slang; sue me. :P

Why do you want to know one? I'm curious. Are you writing an acrostic poem?

*Hehe*, those two words doesn't exist, the first one in "ättling" (the correct letter i ä not a) , not attling, the second is "avkomma" not "avkomling".

The other usefull word for child in swedish that's starts with an "a" and is used frequently is "as", with the descriebing sentence: "Ditt lilla" first. Ditt lilla as.
This expression is often used by young adults and parents that's want to encurage the childe to pay them attention. Most often when the child is in trouble. (Translation: Ditt lilla as. = You little corps.) :D
