I find the metaphor of the landscape useful for describing certain personality traits.

For myself, I see:
Craggy, worn mountains, in an arid, semi-desert climate.
Periodically dry streams twist down to a larger river, which is shallow but very clear.
The river is fed from a mountain lake, tucked away behind a narrow pass.
There are stands of cypress, juniper and other evergreens in the higher elevations.
Sagebrush and a few cacti live in the valleys and flat sections.

Basically, the high desert of the American West.
Which is a place I've only been to once. I've lived in Florida most of my life, which is nothing like the landscape I've just described. I'm not sure why the symbolism of these physical environmental features have so much meaning to me. They just seem to fit me. Anyways...

* Please describe yourself as a landscape. Be as specific or general as you want.

Windswept snow covered mountain top in the Himalayas on a bright sunny day and you can see for miles and miles.

A large meadow (my name means broad meadow), though apart from being sunny a darker sky, so the sun is not harsh from dark clouds, aswell as a few groups of trees around, that one could hide in. mountains in the distance, and a weather that seems to be right would be a wind that might feel fairly strong, lightning and thunder, but no rain.

There's wind. Definitely a lot of wind, breezes and storms.

I can't imagine anything beyond that.

gentle hill with a stream or a brook at the bottom with a few thin trees with one big oak. There are a few cows about.

These are great responses so far.
Even just the smallest pictorial setting says so much about you.

I'd love to see some more!

For a landscape describing me, I imagine the shore of an ocean with huge mountains in the distance; one of them has a cliff with a large waterfall falling into a huge pool of water. In front of the mountains but still mostly in the distance are lush forests filled with strange plants. Near the ocean is a tall rock cliff with a rocky tunnel at the bottom that leads to a massive cave system filled with beautiful rock formations. The sky is light blue with lots of big, fluffy clouds, and everywhere-flying through the clouds, living on the mountains, swimming in the ocean, roaming the forests, or exploring the caves are hundreds of strange and interesting creatures.

Yep, I think that describes me. It's a pretty odd landscape, but it's what came to mind when I read this topic, and I think it fits me well.

I see what used to maybe be a forrest at some point but is completely burned and covered with ash. Maybe one or two charred leafless trees still stand. No hills or mountains visible.. but there might be some out there, it's hard to tell because you can only see about 30 ft into the distance due to it being night time and heavy fog.

I am Io.

My surface is constantly under construction; I am the Solar System's most volcanically active landscape.

I contain lakes of molten sulfur, calderas thousands of miles across, and lava flows many miles long.

My surface is continuously being deformed by tidal interactions, rising and falling hundreds of meters.

Well, sometimes.

ummm...a seascape, just the ocean for as far as you can see, and not like the bright blue-green, but the darkish blue-grey the ocean gets on a cloudy day. no ships, no freaking massive tidal waves, just nothing. always there, ever changing, haunting, yet beautiful in it's own way......

wow am i getting mushy... :P

The rolling hills of the northern part of the Appalachian Great Valley (before it reaches the Hudson).

a smooth, head-shaped hill, bald on top, but with bushes growing out of the caves around the sides and front...;) paunchy knoll a short distance away, small tufts of grass, but mostly barren...;)

A barren land, covered with snow and ice. The sky is clear, but not very bright. The white sun shines but is low in the sky. The monotony of the snow is only broken by rocky outcrops, of dark earth. On the surface the place is lifeless, with only the wind making a sound. Beneath the snow, and inside caves and crevices , springs life. Life accustomed to surviving in extreme circumstances.

Lately mine has changed.
It's becoming a bit more temperate.
More like... The Appalachians, or perhaps certain places in the northern UK.

It is cool and misty.
There are ferns and hidden glens.
Many small streams wind down ancient, weathered mountains.
Extensive groves of evergreens create a canopy, under which grow all manner of woodland plants.
There are occasional vistas opening into coves, or out into the wider landscape around, which is somewhat flatter, although still dotted with hills.
There are also craggy outcroppings of rock higher up, and trails wind up the sides to a variety of treeless summits.
