As the cosmopolitan I am, I didn't like the Swedish National Day yesterday.

Time to destroy some nationalism!

you know what swedens problem is?

youve never ever been invaded by anything or anyone

everyone else has, finland, russia, norway, denmark, germany, estonia, EVERYONE has been invaded, by someone, at some time,

except sweden

so when you guys try to be nationalistic, it almost becomes a sort of schweden uber alles thing
since you cant go for the "we're free"-card

Australia has a similar problem. Closest we've come was back in WWII (Japan bombed Darwin), but there was never a major foreign invasion of Australia itself, that is to say, we weren't directly assaulted like the Germans occupied the Netherlands (unless you count the British Imperial colonisation of the Australian continent as such).

It's hard for any foreigner to take us Aussies seriously when we're patriotic - we just come off sounding like a bunch of drunken yobbos with nothing better to do than find any excuse to drink to excess.

Seriously though, I think that foreigners don't take Australia very seriously. At all. Maybe Australia needs to go the evil route in order to be taken seriously (though I hope not! )

EDIT: Maybe with the exception of the Republic of Turkey.

US hasn't been invaded since the war of 1812 by a foreign power. There are some serious extreme nationalist yahoos around. Like the ones who tell anyone who criticizes the government to "get out of the country" or " go move to (insert whatever extremely unpleasant country of your choice.)" Note these sort only consider criticizing Conservative politicians bad/unpatriotic. They see insulting Liberal politicians as their duty.

I think the problem is the Us military! When I served, I joined to kill people in defense of our freedom! Most of my friends joined for the college money??? Then b*****s to get out. My special skill was the military, since about 7 or so. I trained everyday for my skill. I made homemade knives, I made ob coruses in my yard, even made homemade parachutes as a kid to jump off roofs or powerline towers.

Whites as a race seem to be the most susceptible among all the world's people to poisonous liberal, egalitarian propaganda, and among whites, Swedes seem to be the most extreme example - with the possible exception of the Irish.

Henriksson certainly seems to be heavily, heavily indoctrinated, even by WrongPlanet standards.
