Biologically female, cisgendered, and formally diagnosed with Asperger's.

There was one other known aspie who went to high school with me, and she's a female. I have a sister with Asperger's as well. So we're out there!

I'm good at mathematics and music. I seem to think in both pictures and patterns; I can visualize patterns when I hear music and words.

I'm also a female Aspie. I wouldn't really call myself mathematical or scientific, but I've always been interested in art, music, and things like that.

me. I work in IT as a network engineer\IT manager.

Pushes my comfort zones having to talk on the phone. Still hate doing it and I've been there for over 2 years.

But I get to hide in my own office and work.

Statistics I've Found:
1 in 166 people have autism.
1 in 10 people with autism are female.

I'm artistic, I love to draw and write. I'm terrible at math and science.

I'm definitely female and most likely Aspie. Was told I meet enough criteria for diagnosis but wasn't actually diagnosed, lol. As for the above question...I'm not sure. I used to identify as more artistic (played instruments, wrote poetry, drew pictures, etc) and now I identify more as scientific/mathematical/logical but others probably would only say logical, not the other two. I used to be horrid at math but I'm coming to enjoy it more, and definitely enjoy the biological and behavioral sciences. I used to take art classes for fun, yesterday I got physics books from the library for fun :study:

I never noticed this thread before. I'm female, but not feminine by any stretch of imagination. As for mathematical/scientific or artistic, I'm scientific/artistic, math can stay far away from me. Actually I'm pretty good at math, and find certain parts interesting, but I mostly dislike it... I think. But I love almost everything related to science, and the artistic side of me is musical, and creative projects that don't involve drawing or writing. I would love to draw, and especially write, but I'm just not any good.

Biologically I'm a female aspie too, but I don't have a typical gender identity. I'm like somewhere in between male and female, not fitting well in with either gender.

I have not been a girl in years, but that is only in my body, my mind and heart is still 17 years old.

and I am an Aspie and my special interest is verbal/words (I was vaccinated with a phonograph needle, as my mother would say)
