Serious on topic: I think most women are unable to tell when they're breasts get bigger with age, such example as Sean's GF above. Maybe she's been wearing that size since her early teens and hasn't realised the size is no longer correct.

here's another pic or two, though i think these ones are prolly a bit older. So she very well might've grown some since this was taken.

but basically the 32A pic that Valoyossa posted looked sickly and pasty like Skeletor .
or someone equally in need of a decent meal...
So naturally, looking at my GF now, i'm having my doubts concerning 32A being her actual size .

SamwiseGamgee - I fit a D perfectly, i used to wear the wrong size when I squished into a C.
Maybe its the differ in countries people live in. For a girl of my height and weight, A D cup is large to most people. Never in my life have I ever had someone say my boobs are medium or small for my height or weight.

Regardless of size, push up bras and the ones filled with silicone are great way to enhance the size and shape of one's bewbs.

I remember some girl showing me these cups filled with silicone (I forget what they're called) but here she was telling me how great they were while flapping them around until one of them for some reason tore and started leaking. It was then when I decided to avoid them like the plague.

Push ups are great way to make your boobs flatter than they are.

Don't tell it's looks like A/B/C/whatever, because there's no A, B, C. Letter means nothing without number. It's like you'd like to fit the clothes knowing only height. Or calculate a field knowing only width.
The same size can look bigger or smaller, depending on height, arms, body type etc. So I never fit a bra because it looks like, but I measure someone's chest.

I thought I was a 32 C, but when I did that calculator you posted a while back it turned out to be 28 C. I'm now spilling out of my 32 C, but that's because I'm pregnant and my boobs are just getting humongous (to me as I'm used to little ones!). I just measured using a different on-line calculator, and it said I was a 32 AA!! ! I haven't fit into a 32 AA for a good 10 years (23 now)! !

So I came on here to find your calculator again... I'm actually a 28 DD . Try finding a nursing bra in the UK in THAT size.. I'll give you a cookie. I'll probably have to find a 30D somewhere - VERY hard to do in the normal shops.

Thank you! That's exactly how I feel. I don't want to be a guy, I'd just like a more functional body. Big boobs aren't very functional.

I'm a 32DD. I'm very thin and wiry and have 15.8% body fat, yet still have huge boobs...

I just don't understand why you want to get yourselves cut.... You already had some advice here - get a correct size of bra, then you just forget what back pain is, it also changes your perception on your breasts too. It happened to me, it also happened to other women that switched to a correct bra size. There's a post on my blog about where i quote all these women... (sorry no link, I'm not allowed to post them yet, just ate the whole thing that I had written, and I have to write agan )
Mechanicalgirl, if you're slim, you shouldnt be wearing a 32 band - it's for somebody that has around 30 inches (75)cm around the frame - if you have, say 34 inches around your hips, you don't buy pants for 36 or 38... do you??? It's the same with bras, and in case of bras the band has to provide support - 85-90% of it, so it has to be snug, can't be loose on your frame. It can't ride up on the back (or on the front digging with the underwires into your breast tissue when you raise your arms). Honey, you probably need a 30 or even a 28 band - they do exist and they are not for teenagers. What's more, htey do come up with cups up to British K.
My strong recommendation is - instead of undergoing a breast surgery measure yourselves, girls, and buy a correct bra size. If you have a shop that carries full range of sizes nearby (it's more than 100) you can go there to get fitted, if you don't buy a bra online - check out Bravissimo, Lovebras, Figleaves (they also have american branch), Brastop ... It will be money much better spent... And start to love your breasts There are some women who are ready to undergo operations too just to have ones loke yours...

Your blog is great - I hope you all, who believe in myth D is big, read it.

I don't have the misconception that D's are big... at least now. I'm just one of the few who fits into America's small standard bra sizes. I think I'm sticking with an average of 34 C, since bra companies refuse to adopt a universal standard bra sizing system (I really wish they would). I'm 5'9", 145 lbs, my bust measurement is 36", my underbust measurement is 31", and my chest measurement is 33". These measurements have stayed stable for a while....

But, I'm starting the pill soon, about how much of a size change should I expect?

Well, if you measured correctly - tight under bust and loose in bust - your size for 31/36 should be 32DD. Try this when you'll be in the shop.

Some women experience increasing bust size during taking pills. Some not. I'm in the first category. My boobs are one cup size bigger.
If yours are bigger too, change bra size to 32E - bigger cup, not back.

Valoyossa already replied to you. I just have a question, what do you mean by chest measurement? Before you say that your bust is 36 inches, then your chest is 33... How? Do you compress it somehow?
I may add, that if your bra band is really unstretchy then you could probably stick to a 34, and then a C cup would be ok. I suggest trying a test like that: stand up, jump around, wave and raise your arms. Is your bra still stationary? Nothing moved up? If it didn't, fine, if it did - check out a 32DD just like Valoyossa said - you still should be able to get it in the States, though not everywhere... I don't remember being able to find a 32 with a cup bigger than C in Victoria's crap for exampple... Before I got "bra-size-conscious" I used to buy their 34DD (and was of course why it wasn't fitting as it should...)

I admit to being confused. I used the calculator you posted early on, Valoyossa, and got 34DD (if I subtracted a bit as you stated in another post, I get 32G for US size). I then randomly selected a dozen online calculators. 5 of them said 34DD, 5 said 38AA, and 2 said 38B or 36B. Discounting the last two, why is there such a big difference? AA and DD strike me as pretty darn far apart.

For the record, I currently wear a 36B and find it to be quite comfortable, though the straps have a tendency to fall down my arms.
