C,

If you have a few bucks, try shopping discount stores for sports bras of a thick fabric and a size down: ie a tight fit. Or.. underwire bras with thick fabric and a tight fit.

Also.

There is also the bandaid method. Used for millenia to keep nipsters with a mind of their own from poking through every bra and every shirt to be noticed by every wandering eye with curiosity, this method involves the "X"ing of 2 bandaids tightly per (...). 1. they are flattened so they dont feel as much: touch. 2. Nobody can see em and they round off the bra wearing experience by 'easing the mind'

I tended to wear a sports bra; 2 layers of tight tanks; 1 over tank or t shirt + bandaids over my nips. I didnt have a sensitivity issue. I didn't feel a thing-still don't. but others would be like......."Excited today? " and I had a public job and just couldn't have that.

I say a smaller size down because it should reduce the brush of the fabric by holding against you more securly.

brave question.

Good luck. You should re-discuss this with your mother.

This bra feels the most like not wearing one that I've tried.

...I hate them too...I don't wear one unless I'm going out somewhere and I really have too...then it's usually off the minute I hit the door or stuffed in my purse in the restroom.

I live in oversized tops mostly at home so it isn't a big problem...my mom gave up on me finally about 7 years ago.

The ones I DO have are very thin flimsy things or ones I've cut the underwires out of...basically they just keep things from getting away *cough*. My problem is I can't stand things that fit tight against my skin...spandex, turtlenecks, nylons, chokers, etc.

Just a thought...maybe you may want to try a camisole... I've layered tanks too like seabright mentioned...works well.
