Does anyone have any experiences of diagnoses or treatment of PMDD?

I've only recently found out that it is a thing. I've maybe found out what's wrong with me. I'm ill for a week or so every month.

I found this online and thought it was useful information on how to discuss your symphttp://www.pms.org.uk/support/gettingthemostfromyourdoctortoms with your doctor.

That was a good article, though it made me sad to realize it's typical for doctors to not take their patients seriously.

I used to go into shock nearly every month, and frequently wound up in the ER - only to be told that "some women can't handle pain". No one took me seriously until I developed a cantaloupe-sized ovarian cyst - at which point they did a hysterectomy, and discovered I'd had severe endometriosis for decades, and no one had ever believed me.

Sorry you're dealing with bad pain too... I hope you can find a doctor who understands these issues!

I've written about my hormonal issues in other threads, which I've lost track of, anyway yes I have PMDD and my periods tend to be exhausting.

Recently I started taking a wild yam supplement. This one: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/swanson- ... g-100-caps I didn't really expect it to help much, but things improved immediately. My cycle was longer, my period was more normal and PMS symptoms were also much better. I also started taking some new probiotics and that might also have something to do with it.
