Seriously, I have great difficulties appropriately expressing myself when I feel something of great significance (if that makes any sense).

Does anyone have any hints or ideas?
Please help!

You mean like when you're trying to describe an emotion? Or when you feel you're supposed to feeling an emotion? :?

Sometimes, nay...many times, I don't express myself at all. Even when somebody's hurting. I've often seemed cold-hearted because of this, but people just don't understand.

My suggestion would to keep a mental list of things to say when certain situations occur, that way people won't mistake your silence for not caring.

In the past, long before I knew about AS, I used to feel despair...not over the situation at hand...likesay..the death of a family member..or what-have-you...but over what seemed to be my inability to experience the correct emotions at the correct time....

Mm, I get that. Used to cause no end of trouble betwixt me and my now-ex-girlfriend when we argued... whenever I have a strong emotion, it's like the words I want to say form clearly in my head but I just can't get them out.

I'd recommend trying writing. I often find that while I can't say what I want, I have no trouble scrawling it across paper.

These phrases are worth learning, unfortunately, it is more complex.
Correct words without appropriate voice tone and facial expression won't help much.

Yeah I have this problem really bad. I just got out of a dating relationship with someone who didn't have a clue we were in a relationship outside of friendship! I had very strong emotions and did my best to let her know them and truely thought she got it, but she didn't and lets just say it started to go spiraling down really fast after about a month. The sad part is not over as I've had this happen a couple of other times. Geez. I think I should just be celibate for life
